NOOOOOOOOO!!! FUCKING TOM FUCKWIT CRUISE!!! =(((

Tim Robbins used to be good, but has mellowed a little too much lately, like so much else.

I guess we should just be thankful Will Smith aint in there as well...

The opening monologue is much cooler, and poetic in the original, or the Jeff Wayne musical version.

I really want to watch to original again now....
Ahh.. no offence, but you are a robot, aren't you?

the original was great, but it does on one level makes me sick to the stomach about how f*cking stupid some of the changes are. Particularly the prominance of relgion... I don't think the writer would have approved, lets put it that way.

The trailer peaked my interest. I'll be waiting for the next one to see what else is shown. I liked the original, liked the TV show spin-off, & loved the Jeff Wayne music & video game (never got far though).

video game? you mean the C&C clone, or was there something else?

I actually bought the C&C clone... Great game. Played it many times. It can be pretty different each time, since there's so many directions you can go (kinda like Civilisation) so it had great replay value. It also featured about 10 or so newly remixed versions of the classical score, which were absolutley fantastique!!! I remember starting the game just to listen to the music...hmm... maybe I should release it?

jesus christ what a crappy trailer that was and *TOM FUCKWIT CRUISE* as main actor, it goes down hill and that fast with this one.... the remaking is the thing now i guess, 25 years from now we will have the remake of the remake.... it just make me sick... why cant they just make a complete new movie? is it really that hard???....

anyway nice screencap of that game, to bad it wasnt made for newer hardware, i guess a 486 will be good for that game....

actually, those screens doesn't do it justice. And it should be fully playable on any machine still.

There's one more War of the Worlds flick coming out. This one trying to follow the book. Looks low budget, but I have hope!

the WotW teaser I saw in theaters showed nothing to do with tommy boy and, in fact, no live action at all.
Life ducks, and you sigh.
