Alien v Predator (2004) (CAM)

Postby GingerWarrior on Mon Aug 16, 2004 8:11 pm

Found on ED2K-IT, posted by The_Famous_Mr_Ed (usually a very reliable source). Also some quite detailed comments.

Title - Alien vs Predator
SOURCE - Internal Cam
Region - NTSC
FPS - 29FPS
MPG Header - VCD
# of Disc - 1
size - 478mbs

An expedition of archaeologists on Earth discover an Aztec temple hidden under the Antarctic circle, housing a host of Alien creatures. A group of five coming-of-age Predators have also come to the temple, as it has long been a training ground for their race. From there on, it's Aliens vs. Predators, with the humans caught in the middle.

and

Here is my internal cam of AVP, it's the same source as fbc's release, only brighter, sharper, and better color, but mind you this is a cam with cam audio, (hollow, oohhs and aahhhs, and laughter).

I couldn't see you all dling 2 disc releases of a cam at 500mbs a pop, thats just crazy, so I made it so everyone who just couldn't wait for a TS to come out, (which by the way hasn't yet, I don't know what everyone is dling but it's not a TS, lol), could get this watchable cam of mine fast.

So (hopefully) here are the links (and can someone tidy them up?):

for ed2k links:
Code: Select all
ed2k: Don't.Look.Now.(1973).avi  [700.85 Mb] [Stats]

or
Code: Select all
Don't.Look.Now.(1973).avi

Work fine, both show exactly the same thing. Url tags shouldn't be used on them. For other link text, I prefer:
Code: Select all
http://www.dead-donkey.com

or if i want it to be clickable word
Code: Select all
<a href="http://www.dead-donkey.com">crap</a>

you can use:
Code: Select all
[url=http://www.dead-donkey.com]crap[/url]

Which does the same thing too (although kinda buggy), but not on ed2k links :)

Code: Select all
[url]http:// / ed2k://[/url]

shouldn't be used because its pointless, the links will be clickable anyway without the url bits :)

Anyways, on topic. I hear the cams are way too dark to enjoy this film, and that the sound on one of them is very poor.

I think I'll wait for a TS at least myself, or hope for a TC :)

bads news. sound quality bit echoey, audience noise, dodgy stereo.

Picture quality now too bad though.

Watchable, but probably worth waiting for a better rip/cam. Will try not to watch the rest of it.

hehe... you should check out www.vcdquality.com ;)
They rate all the rips and point out all the floors with TS/CAM/etc. :)

I always read them before taking the plunge :) BTW there's a TS repack on suprnova that's way better quality.

Alien Vs. Predator at IMDb

Tagline: Whoever wins... we lose

Plot:
Since the beginning of time, the Predators, the feared, hulking alien game hunters, have come to Earth for one simple reason: to engage in a coming of age ritual. To become "men," the teenage Predators have to hunt down a hive of Alien warriors and successfully defeat them and claim the skull as its trophy. However, during one hunting session, the easily aggravated Aliens fight back, leading to the destruction of the two species and the Aztec people who worshipped the Predators as Gods. Nearly two thousand years later, billionaire industrialist Charles Bishop Weyland (Lance Henriksen) rediscovers the pyramid, buried thousands of feet under the ice of Antarctica, with his satellites. Knowing that he has discovered something important, Weyland fixes up a team, led by Lex Woods (Sanaa Lathan), and heads down to the Antarctic to find the pyramid. But once they get there, the enslaved Queen Alien awakens from her sleep, which results in the production of new eggs and Facehuggers. And to make matters worse, the new hunting clan of teenage Predators, led by the brash and violent Celtic, have arrived, ready to hunt down both the Aliens and the humans within...

imo don't bother wasting your b/w on 2cds, there's a 1cd xvid repack of near identicall quality on suprnova.org (maybe a bit better since it seemed cleaned up in places) and not only that, this film is really bad... an "only download once" scenario for a lot of people methinks.

Brains, taste, and common decency are all banned from viewing this movie. Please remove remove all cloths, lube up and assume the position.... your going to feel constant violation from yet another Wes Anderson movie!

edit: and I just mptoced that the tagline is totally stupid and was obviously written before anyone saw the movie  lol, wouldn't surprise me if the guy walked out and then just made something up

you need xvid or an mpeg2 codec depending on what your playing, I recommend installing powerdvd for its mpeg2 codec, and xvid can be found in the codecs thread on forum.dead-donkey.com in the help section.
