Moments from science-fiction films are the subject of the first programme (robots and aliens are among the remaining five shows in the series), and contenders include the chest-bursting scene from Alien, the explanation of the Matrix and Darth Vader's revelation to Luke in Star Wars Episode V: the Empire Strikes Back.

This shows good aslong as you like sci-fi. And with thoughts from people such as the original Luke Skywalker from StarWars, and an opening with a Prodigy soundtrack, you can't go wrong

StGeorge wrote:Part 2: AliensThe title of this instalment of the top ten series must give away one of the entrants. HR Giger's design for the multi-jawed, acid-blooded extra-terrestrial was so creepily effective that it starred in four successful feature films (with a fifth - Alien vs Predator - due for UK release next month).
And surely those wheelie bins of doom from the planet Skaro, the Daleks, must feature somewhere.
But they don't have to be bad to make the list. You might see logic-spouting Spock from Star Trek or Jedi master Yoda from the Star Wars films.
And don't forget, Doctor Who is an alien, too...

Steven Spielburg, Leonard Nimoy and the guy who played Chewy are amongst the speakers this week. The Alien(s) queen certainly looks cool considering she was made out of bin bags too

StGeorge wrote:Part 3: RobotsThis highly enjoyable series of cosmic countdowns moves its attention to mechanicals.
R2D2 and C3PO from Star Wars are obvious contenders, as is Arnold Schwarzenegger's unstoppable killing machine in The Terminator.
But some of the more leftfield entries the Sci-Fi channel was asking us to choose from in their recent poll included Metal Mickey, Marvin the Paranoid Android, the Gunslinger from Westworld and Ash from Alien (played by Ian Holm).
As long as you haven't voted K9 into the number one spot...

This is the last one. It's turned out to be a 3 part series and not 5, as the info for the first ep said
