I saw I, Robot last sunday, it was better than I thought. I was afraid Robot CGI would ruin it. For a moment with the AUDI RSQ it almost did.

Also watched The Relic again for the millionth time... I can't get enough of the head chopping

Also checked out Passion of the Christ... was a painful movie to watch
2 hours of torturing... not my kind of movie, yet it was well made

Watched Minority Report before work & Collateral after work. Didn't realize it till open credits on Collateral, but both are Tom Crusie/Dreamworks films. Anyways, I like Minority report. Collateral was better than I thought. AVP tommorow. I expect good it to be good, damn it!!!

now I KNOW you are from The Netherlands

I missed the movie yesterday... and perhaps it was a good thing, even though my girl likes martial arts movies.

AvP. considering it takes place on EARTH! in the year 2004</i>! and it's rated PG-13 (anybody can go see it). I'd say it was pretty good. but O! what could have been!
:(

minor spoilers:
the movie is a bit of an amalgam of the two novels: Prey, Hunter's Planet. Frankly, that was a good move. it's a damn shame they didn't stick to the entire premise of Prey. the stipulations mentioned above really water down the plot - Weyland dies yet I'm fairly certain I saw him in A3 a hundred years or so later. or was that supposed to be someone ELSE? - either way, kinda silly. this ain't the terminator, and he ain't a robot like Bishop the android. also, there are too few preds in the pyramid and far too many at the end. which, btw, is amazingly like Predator 2, and I prefer what happened in the book myself.

anyway, the movie starts off dreadfully slow (I blame the 3rd rock from the sun locale for that one), but it picks up when...well...this is an Alien/Predator movie. And the action is solid. they ripped off the already tenuous Stargate in order to bring the two species together, which was the only huge problem I had with the movie. oh. and if it were rated R, I get the feeling people wouldn't drop off so damn quickly and off-camera.

AVP here too. I did like it. I had a couple of prblems with it:

(Spoilers)
1) It takes place on Earth - The comic does NOT
2) Predators told as being the ORIGIN of pyramid design - just trying to link Predators to Earth
3) Predators pretending to be gods to humans - Predators wouldn't as it's ALL about the hunt
4) How quickly the 1st 2 Predators died
5) How smart, quick, & tough the new incarnation of the Aliens are
6) more later if I can think of any

Overall, I liked it. I just wish a movie like this would stick to the comic. The comic is based during Aliens the movie or a little before on a world w/ a small human colony. Oh well, I guess as long as HollyCrap is involved, ALL book & comic based movies will never see the potential of the source.

yeah. they really gaffed by shifting it to present day earth. that pyramid explanation has already been done to death too. not sure which comic series you read, but it sounds like the first one, which is a comic version of the first novel. still. I had fun.

of course, you do realize that spud is gonna rip us a new one, Resurrection style, right?
