21 grams refers to the weight of one's soul - "they say when a person dies, he loses 21 grams" or something like that. anyway, not a drug movie.

saw 2 fast 2 furious on cable last night. :o

not a movie, but I got a kick outta Entourage. looks promising. nothing deep. but fun.

Spiderman 2, had some flaws and I didn't like the daytime CGI scenes.

all in all a movie to watch on a widescreen tv with good sound ;)

yes, by far. Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc, etc. were all great. A bugs life was better than Antz, Monsters Inc. was better than Shrek so if you have to choose a better, seen as though pixar make the better film, then I'd have to say they are also the better company. Pixar was the only part of disney that meant you'd get a quality film and i think pixar and disney recently split haven't they?

I didn't like the daytime CGI scenes.

CGI was shit in the first one too (cgi is always shit, but hollywood seems to bum it), makes it look more of a quirky cartoon than a movie by putting those sequences in, which is why it works well even with the naff cgi as a comic book movie  But I'm expecting poor CGI again if its the same company again. Good thing is that I don't give a shit really how it looks... i suppose it does seem to break the sense of "reality" when a plasticy spideyman is doing terrible jumps around a tinny/metallic town

well...yeah. and yes. except for the Mosters Inc. being better than Shrek bit. CGI is superior (although Shrek's was good, unlike the non-comparison between Bug's Life and Antz). but the movie itself...it was Analyze That...with better scenery.

I thought the CGI in Spidey 2 was leaps and bounds better than the first effort, especially for his web-swinging shots - shameless pun intended.

ABL was one of those, have to release similar movies in pairs crap. Like Deep Impact and Armageddon. ABL was better, but still it was Antz who broke ground first.

I liked the CG of Spidey crawling up the wall in the Doc Oc/Aunt May post-bank scene. I hated the one of him fighting Doc Oc on the train.

Worst Spidey2 flaw ... when Doc Oc throws Spidey forward above the train, Spidey dives through the walkover, & then lands & takles Doc Oc, who should've been behind him. Physics says 1) he'd land ahead of Doc Oc OR 2) he'd slow down & land behind Doc Oc. So either way, he wouldn't have takled him like he just jumped at him.

I agree. Shrek was better.

I saw hardly much improvement except during swinging, but I wasn't able to watch Spidey1 just before going to see #2.

Finally saw Forrest Gump today for the 1st time. It was OK. Don't see what the big deal was. Other than an excuse to use old footage & throw someone in it who wasn't there & make a guy w/ legs look like he doesn't.

Its like a decent version of big fish meets Brazil in the past :) Brazil is still my favourite gilliam, but they are all very close. I'm a big fan of Jabberwocky, but I'd say munch comes very shortly after that :)
