Probably the best comedy series *ever* And like all sci-fi programs, it nearly didn't make it onto our screens at all

Okay series 7 and 8 are far too american for my taste (it was very much one of the writers doing one). But up until then it is outstanding viewing, a brilliant comedy and a great scifi in their own rights.

Never seen it, but my roomie knew what series Rimmer's from. He still looks like a 'History Channel' Jaffa to me.
