Burn this flick

It caused "the Thing" to flop at the box office....

it completely buried it....

Only the last 15 years the thing got a regonized by mainstream as a cult classic.....
In the sense of " Gee this movie is pretty good ! How come I have not noticed it on release ?" was the common reaction I got when I showed some friends this on my retail VHS (Boy does that sound ancient  )

i was jsut being born when this film was out 1982 what a glorious year for mankind  so while i wasnt able to see e.t or the thing in cinemas (if i had passed as old enough for the thing when i was newly born wouldve been funny) but i do prefer the thing to e.t
