Anyone use this? I'm looking into what 'extensions' and 'plugins' I should get. Let me know which ones you use.

NukeImage looked good too so you can't select images that you don't want loaded.

internet stats always surprise me on this matter. For me IE is simply not an option i would ever choose. The question for me is, do you use opera? because its either firefox or opera.

I'm always startled by the fact that people *still* use ie when they have the choice. Its such a bad browser, and it only takes a few moments to get an alternative.

For those that are interested 61% of the people who browse this site use IE. Sad but true.

on terminals at my uni, the options are IE and Netscape. I suspect that is the case with many large institutions: very slow to adopt change. we've only switched to XP like a year ago. till then, everything was w2k, win98se or if you ran XP, your comp wasn't maintained by ITS.

your shtting me, we got opera, ie and mozilla... although ie is default.

I don't understand that either. The profiling options and added security of the alternatives make it a far more favourable option business wise... and terminals are the same installation cloned onto all the machines, so there's really no excuse.

hmm...seems I spoke too soon. win2k is *still* the OS of choice for networked comps.

yeah, I usually run my laptop, so I have no clue what the default brower is on these things. I just click on whichever I see first. but I really don't like the netscape interface anymore. so IE is more aesthetically pleasing. anyway...I know some of it has to do with service contracts & training, but mostly, I think it's just bureaucracy. it's a state school. now picture this scenario for the thousands of networked terminals in all the other (large) state agencies. no need to wonder how something as simple as an email worm makes the 6 o'clock news, eh? and hey, on the bright side, we skipped the whole Windows ME debacle completely.
