just finished watching Forrest Gump in 720p, i watch on pc and monitor doesnt go high enough for 1080 so i usually don't bother with them anymore, might start more when ps3 starts supporting MKV properly. It can play them now but only off a usb stick or streaming, it can't from a disc.

Also onto season 3 of Two and a Half Men

That's the most expensive option but there's a range of them. I put xbmc on mine:

there's no way i'll buy a ps4 if rumours end up being true, that it's removing the optical drive and going completely digital download only

yes like the new pspgo, i dislike things that work with downloads only, especially as they limit the amount of times you can download them, the usual is 5 downloads.

I much prefer having my data as a hard copy that i can use as many times as i want.

Though i guess removing optical media support would kind of undermine their whole bluray market

I'd rather have the data on a solid state drive than a retarded optical disc that deteriorates after 2 weeks or sections are rendered useless by a scratch when a butterfly farts in China.

you're able to play 1080p h.264 content moothly on a dual core atom 1.6 mhz system? I'd buy three of those in a heartbeat for that functionality. but...umm...how is it setup to handle those feeds?

I'd use that to back it up, the main gripe i have with digital content is the crap limited usage clause that comes with it

Intel Atom + Nvidia ION.

Native rendering.

I use kubunutu with xbmc on top, using VDPAU.

lol, that's my old infect rip, not sure what _PC and all the crap site tags on the end of the filename are:
http://www.dead-donkey.com/modules/shar ... ies&id=474

It comes from the UK 2 disc DVD edition. AFAIK, there is no BluRay, HD-DVD, DG Theatre or HDTV broadcast of the show at current.

Just watched the new Dr Who... it is frickn awesome.. I was getting really sick of the old series and I am glad that it has had the chance to revamp it a bit. The new theme and title sequence is sweet, the new logo is much better and the the new tardis... well it is as crap as the last one.. but oh well can not have anything. The new chick is pretty sexy and by looking at the "season trailer" at the end of the episode they might have more episodes on other planets and stuff instead of everything being in London.

All in all this is the best modern Dr Who ep I have seen in a long time.. maybe the Library ep was the last one I liked as much as this one... If you have been avoiding the modern Dr due to it loud garishness and "wacky" main character... maybe give it another try.. it is still in the same vein but they have pulled it back a little. I think as the new actor gets more into it it will diverge more form the last Dr's antics.. witch is a great thing.

I saw this when it came to my home town.. it was awesome beyond words.. :) such a memory trip. When I was a little kid and this album was still relatively new. Me and my brother would lie on the floor in the lounge in front of the fire with the lights out and read the book together listening to this... it was scary and awesome... loved this ever since.

I have this same thing and it is awesome and dose everything you would expect. It can even handle older games (like Heroes of Might and magic 5 for example) and has no problems running old school console or arcade emulators.

I use it with this.. but most of the time it is tucked behind the couch unless I what to use the internet. It is a wireless keyboard with a built in trackball mouse.
Image

I mainly use this... it is a wireless gamepad, with same config as 360, but it has a pretty hardcore button mapping system, so it can play any game or control XBMC with no problems, even if the game or application doesn't natively support a pc gamepad it also works on a 360... (yea i know it has a wire in this pic.. not sure why.. this is the same model number)

i really liked the new doctor who ep aswell Jynks, Karen Gillan is indeed pretty hot (for a ginger), the series trailer does indeed appear to show lots of alien landscapes which should be good, i know Steven Moffat has taken over know from Russell T. Davies as producer/writer of the show and RTD was always very against it leaving Earth much, whereas Moffat has always been very vocal about it going off to other planets.

What worried me most about the trailer at the end though was The Doctor is shown using a gun.

Watched Tron last night in HD aswell (HDTV Cap), The Bluray is out in November, ready for the Sequel Tron Legacy on boxing day (December 26th) 2010
