you didn't play it though... demo isn't long enough.. it is like drowning or something... after a while it gets calming and peaceful as you grind though the levels in like a kind of trance...

it isn't a demo, it's the full game, you can get as far as you want within 10 days, and i was playing it with a couple of friends who were already at the highest (at the time) levels, so i got pretty far, it was just simply boring, but i find a lot of fantasy sword and sorcery stuff boring, it's not my thing, i prefer scifi

the site seems fucked up. :?

Did you PvP max? I'm surprised you didn't like to PvP it, if nothing else. or did you try it on a PvP server? I've never done the PvP server. I'm pretty much suck at PvP period. But it sure feels like online gameplay. like xbox live but super fast. I only ever played wolfenstein on the PC with other players, and it's a lot like that, imo.

I'm using myepisodes.com to track tv shows, fucking american retards are so unpredictable in terms of scheduling its just impossible to follow modern shows without some kind of insider/knowledge guide stating what excuse they have this week. There's lots of views of the data but mostly this is useful:
Air Date	Time	Show Name	Epis#	Episode Title	A	W
20-Feb-2010 03:00 Caprica 01x04 Gravedancing
20-Feb-2010 03:00 Spartacus 01x05 Shadow Games
22-Feb-2010 01:00 The Simpsons 21x13 The Color Yellow
22-Feb-2010 02:30 American Dad! 05x13 Return of the Bling

I am not really worried about zero day... a show comes out i grab it when i notice it.. if it is something i get weekly... i just remember the day i found it last time and check then...

EZtv is a torrent site... has a cool "upcoming" list that lists the next air date of shows in mid season and stuff. I do not use torrent sites btu it has a cool TV news section as well.

Worst scheduling for me at the mo is that new V show... like a 6 month wait or something.

I hear it's a shite show.

I'm kinda curious what you think about the PvP experience max. I hate it. They took what is for all intents and purposes a 3d rpg (imagine Dragon Warrior with Mario 64 environment) and then they ask you to basically play CoD or Wolfenstien (except with an 3rd person pov). I find it incredibly difficult. you have to click someone to target them. you can keybind your attack spells and such, but you still have to be able to target the guy. it kills me. I can't doo eeet. it's soooo much more difficult than mousing the crosshairs on an fps. :( but collecting honor points from pvp makes gearing-up at 80 go twice as fast. (dailies, mark turnins, arena bonuses, accumulated hp kills/heals). I just find some artillery and jump on the gun. it's the only way I'm even remotely useful in BGs.

I dunno... I kinda like it.. I mean it is not fantastic.. but hey it is aliens and some sexy looking chicks... more my style than season 22 of Simpsons or some shit.

Yea it is incredibly hard to PvP well.. massive amounts of skill needed. Also as it is all skill based, and teamwork strategies.. when you start to get good it is very very satisfying. Try entering into the Esports version sometime if you do not believe that as everyone is given a set item list, so there is no gear inbalance.

Esports version? is that a separate server?

(mind you, I have a purple combat rogue [~4300 gs] that only does 1.6k dps in 5-man pve dungeons - so I'm about as amateur as you'll get in this game, but it's still highly entertaining)

from FH:

Ok, Saturday was Fryday. A friend brought over a deep fryer and we fried everything (cheese, chicken, oreos, twinkies, etc.)....

and we drank ZOMBIES...

and we watched ZOMBIE MOVIES!

DAWN OF THE DEAD (2004)
this was disappointing right off the bat because I thought we were gonna watch the original. however, it's probably snyder's best work (mind you, I think he's a complete hack without one iota of originality - make one fucking movie that doesn't already exist!). anyway, the movie was fine. the fast running zombies is a fair complaint. the movie itself adds nothing to anything. but the only thing that irritated me was the shakey cam at the end. oh. and the black guy with the zombie wife. couldn't act his way out of a paper bag.

SHAUN OF THE DEAD
watched second because it was a spoof of DAWN. hence my expectation of watching the *actual* DAWN. in any case, this movie rocks. if you don't know it by now, nothing I say will change that.

FIDO
*2 zombies down at this point* I had not heard of this movie before but was pleasantly surprised. keeping with the P-word, it felt a bit like PLEASANTVILLE...spliced with LAND OF THE DEAD. nice little low budget comedy. recommended.

ZOMBIELAND
Woody Harrelson pwnz this movie. the cameo was great, but mostly because my compadres hadn't seen the movie before, and I was anticipating their reaction. definitely better the first time. definitely didn't need to see it again. however, it is a good movie.

up next for today (after USA-Canada hockey): THE OUTLAW JOSEY WALES. 8)

addendum: watched JOSEY WALES. too long. lacked focus. don't care about civil war shite. not one of eastwood's better westerns.

and on sunday you were dead from a heart attack

I however had an action filled weekend..... by that i mean i watched Broken Arrow, ConAir, Face/Off, The Rock, Hard Rain.

All in HD, now i really want to watch TimeCop in HD but it was only released on HDDVD and i can't find a HD MKV rip of it anywhere :(, so one of my mates is gonna rent it and do one for me, i also want to find Under Siege 1 and 2 in HD but so far not available
