Tried to watch The Inhabited Island. Music video style pap. I was hoping for something like Chronicles of Riddick, but its a slow, plodding and directionless piece. I was easily distracted whilst watching :( Thumbs down from me.

Doghouse. This is the newest Jake West who did Evil Aliens which i enjoyed if it was a little long and had pacing problems. His new flick was much better and is quite enjoyable. Zombie/Military gibberish.

Watched the original Assault on Precinct 13. I'd never seen it. Like all Carpenter's from the 70s/80s, utterly great and stood the test of time really well... okay so the gang members are just useless. The music is good old Carpenter too, ie. Music by John Carpenter == Keyboard preset hit by John Carpenter. Might checkout the remake and see if they did anything different. Original gets the thumbs up :)

I watched 9, which had some great art but no soul. Usually animation has thought, time and effort put in... but writing was weak. Voice acting was shitty too for most, 9 especially. Okay premise, but drown in moronic messages. But it did look good. 2.5/5. IMDB is hopelessly out.

Been watching family guy, american dad, south park, the simpsons and peep show. Peep Show is hilarious, but then I knew it would be. Its a bit more charactured, but its good. American Dad is great, South Park is great... family guy is okay.

Looking for a new show, I'm rewatching Buffy at the moment... i'm thinking Fringe or Supernatural?

the original assault on precinct 13 is indeed excellent on every level, the remake stars Ja Rule so i warn you it is infinite amounts of shit.

I saw an episode fo peep show the other day and thought it was pretty crap, but then it was the first episode of the new series so i didn't really know who everyone was or what was going on, i should probably sit down and watch it all from the beginning, i love that mitchell and webb look.

Have you been watching the family guy spinoff - the cleveland show? i've watched the aired eps but i can't say i really care for it much

I think watching just the first episode of a season won't do it, grab them all and watch em in order. Get's so funny.

am I doing something wrong? or does nzbmatrix require paying for the "premium" membership in order to dl anything of substance? when it comes to browsing, I find tvnzb.com the easiest, but I have a tough time with all of them. compared to torrent and mule release sites, finding the nzb I want is laborious (picking it out of the search once I get the right file from the index site). I must be doing it wrong?

There are tiny differences that could be important. Some groups are not being indexed by Binsearch (not even using the "search in the other groups" option) and there are other groups that are not being indexed by newzleech. I don't remember which exactly, but some of the anime oriented groups are indexed only by newzleech and other "arthouse" groups are only on binsearch. I use them both. I also like BinTube, you can follow a poster through all the groups they index.

maxpayne2409 wrote:not heard of nzbmatrix tho

it's bigger than nzbsrus, try it!

But forums and other small indexers are still important. I'm interested in anime and untouched Blurays (really untouched, not the 1080p reencodes that maxpayne calls untouched) and nzbsrus or nzbmatrix index only 5% or less of this stuff.

The arthouse/anime is just an example. The point is they don't index exactly the same groups. You might get different results because of that.

hehe.. you appear to apply a backwards methodology to most:
tvnzb.com / nzbmatrix / nzbrus -> THEN search sites

:googley:

WAR (2007). a jet li, jason statham movie. I'm pretty sure I've seen the same exact plot somewhere before...maybe a denzel movie or something. iunno. it was decent for what it was. just a pass the time movie while I was on the laptop.
