you will be sorely disappointed, i think i know you well enough to say that with 100% certainty

There was a conversation in it aswell where
Spoiler:
Jimmy sees Clark rapid heal and Jimmy says "Clark your a super......." and pauses and i actually yelled at the screen SAY IT FUCKING SAY IT YOU TWAT JUST FUCKING SAY IT, and as usual the writers copped out and had jimmy say "your a super.... guy!"

meh. you're right. it was stupid. anti-climactic. and what? there are 2 jimmy olsen's? that's just retarded (don't play middle/first name games with me either; that's bullshit). and I swear, I think I missed an entire episode. because from the point that 1) clark & doomsday square off and 2) jimmy & davis duel to the point that clark returns from the fight and attends jimmy's funeral, they talk about a whole bunch of shit that I don't remember watching at all.

Yes it was bullshit about there being 2 Jimmy Olsens, and i thought it felt like they skipped an entire episode too, Clark's fighting doomsday, then suddenly BOOM up goes the refinery, and then it's the next day, i get the feeling it was written as a 2parter finale but for cost reasons they had to scrap what would have probably been quite an expensive supes/doomsday showdown, Also did Clark finally fly or did he just do a really big jump? that's never really explained, and Lois is in the future, i guess to explain that away Clark or someone in the LoS will just knock her unconscious, bring her back to now and she will have forgotten everything, like bumps on the head always seem to in smallville, infact everyone in that series whose female is probably suffering from brain damage from all the bumps to the head they get which always cause permanent amnesia

TERMINATOR SALVATION was not bad. I feared the absolute worst when Harry fucking-shill Knowles bashed the hell out of the movie. The cameron terminators are two of my all time favorite movies. ever. the only videos that have gotten more play on my tv are the SW trilogy, Robocop, AoD, and Princess Bride. I was far more invested in TERMINATOR than the ALIEN franchise, for example. so I was expecting to feel raped the way Harry the Shill was in his review. Not at all. Don't get me wrong. this is NOT high art. there is nothing here even close to Cameron's work. but I felt raped by T3. the fucking sunglasses joke was so goddamn low ball. I was fuming. there's nothing like that in this movie. it gives nods to the past. and the nods aren't great. but they're there and the movie takes itself relatively seriously (no fucking sunglasses gag!). The previews more or less rape the movie's plot, which I was surprised to assess as being quite good. the execution was meh. that bloodgod chick is useless. bryce dallas howard is useless. there's some mute ALIENS knockoff girl who is useless. the action is good. the plot is coherent (given the franchise). there's no lull in the action to speak of. I only have two major complaints: 1) the deus ex machina at the end is completely ludicrous I speak of the heart transplant scene, not the cgi arni; 2) what the fuck did Danny Elfman do to the score???

who on earth is Harry the Shill? and why from the name alone do i imagine some fat grease stained loser in a basseball cap with a scruffy beard and orange cheesey fingers in his mums basement who needs to die?

I decided to give in the other day and watch Postal, yes that's right, i watched an Uwe Boll Movie properly, the reason was i figured "well postal the game had virtually no plot or anything, so there's practically nothing he could fuck up" which is probably the best review i can give for the film , i did however enjoy the mindless violence (who doesn't) and the chick who zack ward teams up with near the end was kind of cute. Also it's always funny hearing Uwe Boll speak because you know there's gonna be some unintentional comedy gem coming

ah the name harry knowles is somehow one i've heard before, i'm guessing he's an online movie critic, which means your implying i care one iota about reviews, i have never once read a review about a movie in almost a decade, instead i watch and if its shit its shit, if its not then wahey, as i don't pay to rent anyway reviews arent really necessary as if its shit ill just delete it, so i have quite a good reason for not knowing harry the shill

harry knowles, the creator/owner/whateverer of aintitcoolnews.com the original place on the internets for leaked movie spoilage/news. (it's no longer so exclusive or original but now much much larger). my point being people go there for news on movies. but they have a handful of reviewers as well. harry's reviews are particularly kind to populist junk. btw, all of the reviews are the kinds of things you'd appreciate: they're unprofessional and profanity-ridden. so...well...there it is. you might enjoy their riffs/reviews.

so I've been watching that SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN series that max mentioned being that "gay thing in high school" or some such (it's in HD btw, woohoo! most toons I'm interested in are not). I was disgusted when I first saw it (it's clearly an attempt to capitalize on the X-MEN EVOLUTION series/style - which got a lot of shit from fans itself). the animation takes a lot of getting used to whereas I actually liked the change of pace in the X-verse right away. I think the fact that X-Men is an ensemble show allowed me to look at it as a prequel updated in time period (instead of, say, 1960s) so that it has resonance with contemporary teens/tweens. to be fair, that's exactly what's going on with spidey here...except it feels very off. gwen stacy is a geek? eddie brock is peter's best bud/big brother? norman osborne is responsible for the sinister six? tombstone is the cerebral crime lord instead of kingpin? on the other hand, the quips in this show come quick and often. they really nailed the spidey banter. and this show isn't nearly as pissy moany as the 90s series. it also has better action sequences. the magnet school thing is annoying as hell. harry osborne on the football team is way overboard. yet...I'm watching it. I think the writing is smart. still can't get comfortable with the animation. :?

Been watching the hellraser series.... I am not far into it but as the new "reboot" (or hellraser 9 as I will call it) is on the cards now. The new one is getting made by that French guy that did martyr... and I am very happy about this.. His previous moves shows he has the ascetic to really do justice to the original hellrasier concept.. specially martyr... witch has a strong mix of torture horror and otherworldly magical stuff of the soul.... so I am pretty keen to see the hellraiser reboot.

Anyway..

H1 - Well this movie is just frickn awesome. in fact I think it is prob one of my fav horror movies ever. The English chick that plays the lead is so good.. and the complex story about lust and sexual possession is so much deeper than you get in most horror movies. It is a real shame the they just keep going down hill form there... I really hope the new reboot dose this film justice. If you want to see the difference in the writing... just watch the bit with the cenobites and the chick when she makes the deal and compare that to ANY other cenobite thing in the series.. it is just miles and miles in front.

5/5

H2 - This movie is really bad. Like when I first saw it I thought it was good but now I see it as really shockly stupid.. the story has nothing in it.. it is just a bunch of shit that happens.. it is like the writers thought of cool things the wanted to happen in this film and then just stitched them together, with no thought of how it would really work. The real shame is that it is one of the highlights of the series.

2.5/5

H4 - I will prob get flack for this but I really like this one. While most of the space stuff at the end is fuckn terrible.. all the old world type stuff is very cool and I love the story about the princess demon slave...

4/5
