TERMINATOR and BSG are competing for my attention atm. and they're both frustrating because one or two eps look so promising, then the next one's a clusterfuck. BSG did it last week, and now that I'm into TERMINATOR, they go and throw-up a completely pointless episode. and they threw the ep out there while they're in the middle of 3 or 4 really potentially good story acs already.

why does the uk always get stiffed on everything, the japanese collectors edition of resident evil 5 comes with steelbook, making of dvd and a chainsaw styled usb pendrive

the american version collectors ed comes with steelbook, making of dvd, artcards, chris redfield figure, tri-cell satchel/messenger bag, BSAA Patch, and Kijuju Keychain

the uk version comes with steelbook and making of dvd, fucking whizzamadoodle, and they have the nerve to charge an extra £10 just for that, wheres as thats the same price (converted) for the japanese version where you get the 2gig usb stick, granted the american one costs a little more (roughly £60 i think) but concidering all the extras you get with it i wouldn't moan at the price.

Thankfully the ps3 is region free for games, but it sucks in general that i have to buy an american version to get all the goodies, and then i know ill get charged customs on it because it's over £45.

I'm guessing the charges have more to do with shipping costs and import tariffs than content.

latest HEROES. tbh, I'm happy with HEROES these days. it has settled into a decent groove where there's nothing spectacular about it, but there's nothing that drives me batshit insane from ep to ep. Compare that to BSG and TERMINATOR, one of which is a far superior show, and I find myself often dissatisfied and angered by every other ep. and I don't mean unsatisfied in the good way ("always keep them wanting more"). I mean in the "are they fucking kidding?" way.

still DVRing 24. I wonder if I'll ever watch it. I can't seem to muster up any interest in it.

iunno. I suppose the only objective thing I can say about it is that they don't cram too much into one ep. and they only do one or two story arcs in one show rather than like FIVE. it's nowhere near as compelling as s1. meh.

I hear that's not doing so well.

WATCHMEN hits theaters this week. Tomorrow night, I believe. blasphemously, I haven't even read the comic (yet I sell it!), so it will be interesting to see it only as a movie. then I'll give the GN a read. I have problems reading older comics because so much of the aesthetic enjoyment for me is in the artwork, and stuff from the mid-late 90s looks a lot better. I think it's to do with the inking more than anything else, but there's generally more straight edge on the pencils too. iunno how to explain it. it just seems grittier to me.

it's ok i know what you mean, it's more indepth so to speak, less faces drawn in pink with 2 dot eyes and a curved line for a mouth, and more eyes complete with detail and mouths with teeth etc.

Just watched The Others... was pretty cool... kinda liked it .. a bit spooky in bits but nothign to great... you guys know any good spooky movies.. not full blown horror... just movies that are a bit spooky.. My sister in law is staying over and i am tryingto show her some scary movies but not "gross" films...

well...my niece thinks THE LITTLE MERMAID is scary because of Ursula. :wacky:

sounds like something in the SILENCE OF THE LAMBS arena? I hesitate to say this because I think they're absolutely shite movies, but just about anything by shyamalan: 6th SENSE, SIGNS, VILLAGE, LADY IN THE WATER, that invasion knockoff. chicks seem to like THE VILLAGE for some inexplicable reason. SHAUN OF TH DEAD is actually one of those "horror" movies that transcends the usual genre crowd. not exactly spooky though. iunno. I'm shit at this.
