definitely a wider audience than FIREFLY. and mini-series + short, contained season series are the best ways to go - pretty much for any new show that actually wants to be good. but if they make a tv series at the corresponding quality level that they've made their movies (let's say B-level movies to B-level series), then I think it would be an utter shite series. everything would get downgraded - actors, budget, and then you'd have to deal with commercials (unless it's a premium channel show). well the writing is already weak (fine for what it is, but you get the idea). the fx are passable but a bit silly (see those lycans running on all fours?). the direction is fine afaik. the characters are ripped out a book of generic protagonist/antagonist archetypes. all of that is going to get a massive downgrade. iunno. I don't think the movie's formula works for TV at all. it would be like one of those cheesy sci-fi syndicated shows like shena, beast master or that kevin sorbo thing.

yeah if it had been handled by joss whedon it wouldve been poo, can you imagine Uwe Bolls' Babylon 5

incidently just heard something you will hate Spud

You really like the directings of Ridley Scott right?

Twentieth Century Fox has hired Ridley Scott and Joe Carnahan to develop its movie adaptation of The A-Team.

According to Variety, Scott and his brother Tony will produce through their Scott Free company, while Carnahan will replace the recently departed John Singleton in helming the project.

"Tony and I feel that marrying this Scott Free project with Joe's sensibility will result in a fast-paced, exciting franchise, one we hope will be around for years to come," said Ridley Scott.

Stephen J. Cannell, the creator of the 1980s TV show, will also produce.

The original series followed four Vietnam vets who escape from prison and become do-gooder mercenaries. Carnahan has revealed that the Middle East will replace Vietnam in the movie but that the premise will remain the same.

"You can...make a film that reflects on the real world without losing the great sense of fun and the velocity of action in a classic summer popcorn film," said Carnahan.

"This was a coveted property, and reimagining a show that I remembered as a kid was tough to turn down. Fox hired me to make it as emotional, real and accessible as possible without cheesing it up."

Production is scheduled to begin in June with a slated June 2010 release date

to be honest as much as i like the tv show, i really think a movie is a bad idea, especially if it's set around iraq, it'll just be another action movie with political undertones which won't suit

meh, i find his films hit and miss. His best films are some of the best films ever made but he's done a lot of crap too.

Love:
Blade Runner
Alien

Decent:
Black Hawk Down
Hannibal

Dislike:
Legend
Gladiator
G.I. Jane

The rest I've either never seen or are just meh; so not really in answer to your question :) Looking at the stuff he's producer of and some of that tat i'm not suprised, its pretty much what he's up to these days.

dinky you tool, thats not the theme, its just phpbb3's menus are different. You always go to user control panel for user actions. its exactly the same at fileheaven, or any other site using phpbb3.

A lot neater and powerful, but i've been using it every day for a year at forum.dead-donkey.com

even finding the user panel is difficult in that new theme (yes, it's the theme. when I switched to prodark, everything was easy to find - and I don't frequent hhah; so it's not simply that I'm used to it). I knew where to look for the link (generally speaking), and it still took 10 minutes. I'd say that makes the other theme pretty bad - I'm not sure if it's the fonts & colors or just the slightly different layout. but prodark is fine. so I've no reason to bitch. :catfight:

agreed on user panel itself (once you can find it! heh)

edit: watching an anime called ERGO PROXY. can't be bothered to watch 24 even though I'm recording it. dunno what to do there. nothing else is new until friday. :(

Styles are difficult things, everyone has an opinion. I kind of like this one. There's another one that needs a lot of graphics work but could be stunningly "theme-atic" when finished; its more horror though.

I know that some people can't stand the dark theme and use subsilver at the horror site, but that's a visibility thing.

i'm currently using deadsmart, which i believe is the same one as the site, i didn't really like the prodark one or whatever it's called.

Deadsmarts ok but it's not really scifi enough for my liking, it's more depressing grey lol
