i (possibly against my better judgement) have decided to give the new (cancelled?) knight rider series a second chance by watching the first 3 episodes..... hmmm now how to put this nicely...... it's... hmm... now whats a nice word for shit....... ah i know... its not made by either Uwe Boll or Paul Anderson

Val Kilmer really doesn't suit as the voice of kitt, he's too... undistinctive and a tad bit campy.

Also the guy playing mike traucer/knight acts like he wants to be funny, caring, and macho all in one and really doesnt manage to pull any of them off.... though granted this may be because of poor scripting.

There have been one or 2 good bits, like i quite like his female companion, and i do love mustang cars (though one as kitt looks cool it isnt really suitable)

Yes smallville has it's flaws, as does Knight Rider, but some of us aren't so wrapped up in our own little ego fuelled world that we can accept not everything is or indeed has to be perfect to be enjoyed, that's what makes some shows fun, laughing at them and poking fun at the corny dialogue, cheap effects and huge leaps in scripting believeability.

I imagine your the kind of person who sits in Art house cinemas with a wooly scarf on and a duffel coat moaning about how Trois couleurs: Bleu had worse social commentarys than in the Trois couleurs: Rouge, to help give you a nice poncy ego boost

I never got into the underworld movies. I found them all to be pretty unwatchable. I'll prob grab a low res 700meg rip when it comes on the net to have a look but that will be about it.

Len Wiseman has revealed that he is considering adapting his Underworld film trilogy for the small screen.

Speaking to Bloody Disgusting, the director admitted that he had discussed the possibility of creating a TV spinoff based on the vampire franchise.

"There's a lot of talk about a television series, I'm looking into that," he said. "If I could be very involved and can be a certain way, I'd be very interested in that.

"We had always hoped to do a trilogy. Now that we completed that trilogy it's kind of open, if people can join us and go back in time - and then leap forward, I'd like to go jump all across the time line."

Underworld, its sequel Underworld: Evolution and its prequel Underworld: Rise Of The Lycans centre upon a centuries old feud between werewolves and vampires.

If they have a budget and a good story arch a tv series might be neat. I think they've pretty exhausted it though, as they only ever had enough plot for one of the alleged planned trilogy.

I think maybe LotR may have been the only planned trilogy in cinema, and that's cuz the original book publisher couldn't find enough paper to print tolkien's opus in one run.

I think UNDERWORLD would suck badly as a TV series. It would be less interesting than TERMINATOR: TSCC and require more expensive FX (which, of course, they wouldn't do). It would have to be completely rebuilt from the ground up to work on TV. It's an action franchise. Action and style are what it sells. Then again, FIREFLY didn't work either. And that's pretty much the opposite of UNDERWORLD in every way. so who knows? Personally, I'd rather see a watchable movie every so often with actors I recognize rather than a series of fill-ins surrounded by comericials and lower rent dialogue and FX.

on the subject of FX, have you noticed how shots of people in "moving" cars filmed on a static position with a rolling background seem to be getting worse, it's actually getting to the stage where scenes look so obviously fake like they did in the 60s

oddly, I did notice that in a recent movie...can't remember which movie though. it seemed like they were just saying "look. they're in a car. it's moving. we don't really care how authentic the fake traffic looks. pay attention to the actors."

iunno. I guess it IS preferable to something michael bay would do, no matter how slick the beasties look.

Finally got hold of both animated Bill and Ted series, watched some eps from series 1 last night, it was fun, what was nice about it too are they got george carlin, alex winter and keanu reeves to voice their own characters... in series 1 anyway, in series 2 its the morons who played them in the live action tv series

Just wish it would get a dvd release like they did with episode 1 on the bonus disc to the 2 movie set, i'd buy it, always loved that toon, same with RGB, 2 toons i never get bored of watching

Production on the world's first 3D porn film is scheduled to begin later this year.

Sex And Zen, which is based on a 17th century erotica tale, will start filming in Hong Kong in April with a slated December release date, reports Variety Asia.

The film's producer Stephen Shiu Jr. reportedly hopes that making the movie in 3D will help lure audiences back to the cinema by preventing piracy.

"The 3D erotica will probably be the world's first. Just imagine that you'll be watching it as if you were sitting beside the bed," he is quoted as telling the Sunday Morning Post.

Shiu described the $3.9 million movie as a tale of how excess can lead to tragedy, adding that about 25% of the film will be love scenes which viewers can enjoy by wearing special 3D glasses.

However, he admitted that he is having trouble finding a male lead willing to strip off on film, saying: "It's a lot more difficult to find an actor than an actress for this kind of movie."

Depends who helms it; Underworld would appeal to more people than Firefly from the offset.

I'd have thought that Babylon 5 would have been dog shit, and it would have been if driven by another star trek lackie. There was crap in there from series being overly long.

I think a mini-series to kick it off and a short season might get it going.
