It is defiantly more than that. There is a strong theme humanistic values vers rational thought. The jok angle of the fbi guys is not played much at all.. they focus more on how sensitive he is and aware of human emotion and motives.

latest GOSSIP GIRL was lame and very 90210. it may cure me of my addiction if the next couple eps are similarly lame.
latest BSG ep. they're planting an awful lot of seeds for a show about to end (10 eps left?). I wasn't much interested. the stuff with the cylon civil war last ep was much more interesting. also, I think we can answer spud's question at this point: the heavy action sequences in the first ep were the exception rather than the rule. no surprises, really. wtf: half the humans are cylons. apollo is a goddamn lawyer. someone nuke the whole fleet and end its misery.
