they already said the resolution of this season was the braniac story arc. they traditionally spread their eps over the season break. they need a reserve in case it turns into the series finale. we'll see. it sure looks like there's no more build-up.

they may be getting it set up but still the season finale is 4 eps away, it may be the next 2 or 3 eps are filler before the big finale who knows

or...it's a 3-parter.

forgot to mention that I had just gotten back from FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL. It's hard to say this about the chick who basically plays Meg on FAMILY GUY, but milla kunis is hot! I liked her in GET OVER IT! too (but not in THAT 70'S SHOW :?). anyway, it's a funny movie. it's a formulaic comedy and there are plenty of "typical american" sight "gags" (you'll appreciate my wit here if you actually see the movie ;)). umm...right...but the movie isn't all hollywood. it's more understated and not remotely as "polished" as something like WEDDING CRASHERS. that also means it's a real hit or miss thing with mainstream audiences. whatever. it was good. nothing great. not incredibly different from SUPERBAD. more mature. I think if you really detested SUPERBAD, then you prolly won't care for this either. It's prolly closer to 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN than anything else. ok. nuff on that.

rangers beat the devils in rd1. go blue shirts!

STREET KINGS was good. written and directed by the guy who wrote TRAINING DAY. not surprisingly, it feels a lot like TRAINING DAY. it's good. forest whitaker's performance isn't as bad ass as denzel's, but it's a decent movie.

first 3 or 4 eps of GOSSIP GIRL. I have to admit I'm impressed. it doesn't rewrite television or anything, but it is good. the banter between characters is great (also completely unbelievable - in the way that DAWSON'S CREEK kids talked way above their age level). there are plenty of pretty young women parading around as high schoolers and even a hot mom. not really here or there, but it might be of interest to some. I think the series is very much like CRUEL INTENTIONS except GOSSIP GIRL is good. I'll definitely finish s1.

it's her face.

through ep 9 of GOSSIP GIRL. loving this show. I haven't enjoyed dialogue like this since seasons 1 and 2 of Buffy. there's this guy who plays a similar role as xander, and they give him delicious lines.

btw: the overall quality of acting really IS clearly above CRUEL INTENTIONS. I realize that's not exactly oscar-worthy praise, but it says a lot insofar as the first CI movie was an attempt at a legitimately good movie but with acting all around from people at the level of mr. monotonous himself, ryan phillipea or however the hell you spell his name.

watched more justice league, smallville, reaper etc

oh and just watched 100 million bc or whatever its called, the shitty dire tripe of a shitfest from this year starring michael gross and greg evigan

i mean i like shit b movies but this was shit even by my admittedly low standards, the effects are like 1990 special effects at best, and the acting may very well have been from an acting school around in 100 million years bc, infact the file is now going to suffer the fate of only 12 files before it....deletion without backup.

Oh god it really was dire, just thinking about it is making me boke

the guy who plays the leader of the unit who incidently seem to alter who they actually work for numerous times just because the writer presumably forgot, is a total dick who can't act, rushs all his lines and just sounds like hes got an air bubble caught in his throat

michael gross plays a dodering old fool whos also a brilliant professor oh yeah hes also 65 in it and yet still is allowed to be sent back to 100 million bc... erm ok, yeah then theres bad bad acting, and so on, and a story that would even confuse dr seuss

hi i'm greg evigan, you might remember me from such films as NOTHING COZ IM SHIT

started watching some tv show called bones.... i am sorta enjoying it as a break from my scifi horror diet. It is crime reinvestigation show... about a super inelegant Sherlock homes type chick and a "dum" fbi partner.

I think the basic idea is that while she is a super freak brain she is not able to relate to people at all while the fbi guy understands the world and people + there motivations.. makign a ubr crme solving team.

It also has a pretty off beat humour to it... and Angel is the fbi guy. I am kinda enjoying it.

I think she's supposed to be an anthropologist and he's the hard nosed fbi agent/detective.

anyway...I'm all caught-up on GOSSIP GIRL now. wow. 1) can't believe I'm watching this. 2) can't believe I'm loving this. (apparently, it's exec. produced by the guy who created the O. C., and I wouldn't touch that one with a 10ft cattle prod).

boll is a shameless self promoter... and proof that if your are smart and able to manipulate others though exploitation tactics you can achieve much.

It is defiantly more than that. There is a strong theme humanistic values vers rational thought. The jok angle of the fbi guys is not played much at all.. they focus more on how sensitive he is and aware of human emotion and motives.

I think there is a strong theme of rationality vs the humanistic. Quite interesting really.

maxpayne2409 wrote:i just find his rants hilarious myself

That is my point. He is good at manipulating his audience.. even those that "hate" him watch his things like the boxing match against critics, witch in turn gets his next feature funded. He is an exploitation film maker... just with even less class and integrity than any others i know of.
