downloaded and watched Meet The Spartans due to seeing a trailer on tv earlier by chance and it looked ok.

It was definately better then the other films by the same people (date movie/epic movie), had a fair few laughs in it.

Little nitpick, when carmen electra and whoever plays leonidas (something beginning with S maguire but i forget the name) sign each others chests the text appears and disappears then reappears as often happens in films.

Anyway i enjoyed it, and now i'm off to bed as i'm tired so it served it's purpose of fodder to watch when half asleep.

with jason statham? that would be a neat trick.

don't you kinda sorta think hayden christiansen is just a little bit...maybe...kinda...sorta WAY WORSE though? I thought the movie was stupid, but it wouldn't have bothered me except that I think it pretty much solidifies the stupification of doug liman as a director.

latest smallville whilst the forum was down. the stuff with lionel luther is getting really fecking annoying. he is. he isn't. he is. he isn't. personally, I think he should change and try his best to make-up for the life he's lived and the monster he's made in lex but that he fails and lex ends up basically killing him (albeit not necessarily mano a mano). but instead, it's like there's two lex figures switching between saint and satan every other ep. that role works for lex. it's annoying for both though.

I wouldn't mind the jla idea, but it ought to be restricted to the smallville universe, and batman has no place in it. green arrow and batman would be basically the same (rich guys with no actual superpower amongst a team of supes). meh

RUN FAT BOY, RUN. it was co-written by simon pegg, but just so you don't get your hopes up too high, it was also directed by david schwimmer. anyway, it was entertaining. if you've seen the preview, you've seen the whole movie basically. I laughed a good lot. so it was good cuz that's all this movie ever tries for. on the other hand, it's no HOT FUZZ which was no SHAUN OF THE DEAD. nuff said.

i heard his involvement on the writing side was beyond minimal, just some improv and changed lines. I saw an advert and it looked like a crap american comedy. I had zero interest in watching that one before your review and zero after

I watched No Country For Old Men earlier this week, and there's little point me saying anything. Excellent film, see it if you haven't.

ok for some reason im STILL not getting email alerts when new replies are posted which is fecking annoying

i also watched run fat boy run coincidently while forum was down except it was utter drivelly shit, i think i laughed maybe once

With regards to christ thingy haydn, i've never seen him in anything else (i refuse to watch any new star wars after the anal rape of the pants menace) so i have nothing else to base him on whether he can act or not, whereas i really just don't like jackson at all.

onto Smallville now and i also don't like the constant switching between good and evil of lex and lionel, i agree it works for lex and not for lionel, from the last ep screened i'm guessing flying will finally appear in the season finale, though why clarks such a wussbag about it in Veritas i don't know, i mean surely he's not afraid of falling out the sky and not hurting himself? though saying that maybe he's worried about looking silly and embarassing himself infront of sexygirl, oh and on another note... Dinky your opinion here, do you think they might finally write lana off once and for all?

So recently i've been reading lots of green lantern comics too, aswell as the green lantern & green arrow mini where they team up with one of the guardians and travel across america, it's pretty good, although it has made me realise why GL isn't in smallville, as the cost of producing quality special effects for him alone would probably use an entire seasons budget in 15 minutes .

I guess maybe that's why Batman appears in the 70s JLA cartoon Galactic Guardians and Green Arrow doesn't, both similar characters but batman is more widely known. I've been watching that series recently too aswell as reading the Crisis on Infinite Earths comics from the 80s that lasted an entire year and was recently released as a book for its anniversary where something threatens the entire dc universe. It's pretty damn good.

I don't recall how far back it's been since i last posted on here and i'm too lazy to check so other things i have watched in the last week or 2

Ashes to Ashes series 1 - ok but nowhere close to Life on Mars

Jericho season 2 - fucking awesome no matter what anyone says, hope John turtletaub manages to sell it to scifi channel like he is planning on doing for season 3 onwards

Life After People - A Documentary on History Channel about how the earth will go on after people disappear, pretty interesting

Keith Lemon's Very Brilliant World Tour - nice way to pass 25 minutes on a night

Reaper - it's definately got a million times better since the writers strike ended

South Park - britney ep was absolute shite, but the other 2 were good

Commando Directors Cut - Still one of my fave Arnie Movies

Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles - picks up after the 4th ep

Zapped! - Cheesy 80s hokum starring scott baio (chachi (sp?) in happy days) as a nerd who gets telekinetic powers, and uses it mostly to makes womens clothes pop off showing lots of boobies

George Carlin - It's Bad For Ya - A HBO special, had some funny moments

and i think that's about it

been playing some games too but nothing worth reporting, oh yeah crysis... was shite

Hotmail is, and has been censoring mails for about 2 years now. All new registrations using hotmail are banned.

Raise a complaint against microsoft and get the automated bullshit response, in the meantime get a better email address... ie. gmail.com

I think that has very little to do with the writers and much more to do with paying the actress. from a comics geek standpoint, I would think that lana would stay and chloe would be killed off. from a fan of the series standpoint, that makes no sense whatsoever. chloe is a strong character but she's a major wrinkle in the mythology. on the other hand, you could</i> spin it that lana leaves, and that's where she goes her separate way from clark whilst keeping chloe for the series but killing her off for the series finale. but I am miffed that there are so many "leading ladies" in the show. it's unusual and pretty much screams "someone's goin' down!" I don't think she's ugly, but I would just as soon not have her on the show. her character is really left field, and (this week!) it's a clone of chloe (next week it'll be lex/lionel, and the week after that it'll be lois...that is, unless she steals clark's powers and becomes kara again).

Reaper - it's definately got a million times better since the writers strike ended

haven't watched the series, but great quote man. great quote!

comic wise doesn't clark/supes actually marry lana before lois?, although saying that supes also adopts jimmy "i couldn't be more gay if i even tried" olsen

also on a side note, Green arrow loses all his money in the comics too after his company get bought out by another bigger (think luthorcorp but not quite as evil) company as his mind is preoccupied with Black Canary (his on/off gf), but somehow i don't think they will go down that path on the show, although black canary (or pretty bird as GA refers to her as) is now in the series and they made GA single, they might get them 2 together, but i dont think tehy will have ga lose his money

[REC] (2007)
http://www.dead-donkey.com/modules/shar ... ies&id=804

Possibly the best horror film for several years, and something that has just won the last year for Spanish horror.

spudthedestroyer wrote:holy crap, this film is great... Spain totally panned everyone in 2007, The Orphanage and this... This is a really great film, and the ending was really, really well done. Very effective film making.

There will be comparisons to The Blair Witch Project, don't listen to that grade A bullshit, BWP is just shite that doesn't deserve such associations with this movie.

My recommendation is to get the above AFR, its a keep this movie.

The style isn't overly new, but the action is very much 28 Days Later / Weeks Later style 'the rage' which is intensified by the close quarters handy cam. The ending is, well i don't want to spoil it but its really rather effective.

Highly recommended, be careful of the fast camera work though I imagine a few could feel sick by the end of this one.

latest smallville. much better. (involving braniac). lionel is in schizo mode again, but at least it's the particular personality that is closest to what he should be like at this point.

ah i see, i thought you meant you had blocked them, any ideas how i can get my password to the main site? as site owner i'm guessing you have access to all passwords?, as obviously it only sendes to the email you regged with

by the way shitty news about virgin media, though i'm not suprised at all. :( and with the news of BT spying on its customers, tho once again it's something we have all known for a while., time to look for a new isp i guess, any recommendations? I also think i'm being capped at peak times by virgin media, as my 4meg line drops to 1 meg between 5 and midnight

Anyway watching season 1 of Justice League

vantage point

I kinda liked this. I though the repeating day would annoy me but i found it a refreshing way to tell a story... All in all a good spy/terrorist flick. The plot while silly it isn't so bad that it is completely unbelievable and i found it quite exciting when all teh threads are pulled together at the end. If your stuck for something to watch i suggest seeing it...

Has a killer car chase in it as well.

I think this would be a great formate for a TV show... like 24 sorta thing but with out the 24 hour time constraint.
