I picked-up a copy of the His Dark Materials trilogy yesterday, and while I was looking for it, I stumbled upon a complete set of Lemony Snicket's SoUE books. Damn! It was pretty big. There are quite a few of them. It looked like at least 10. And relatively thick for kids' books (but smallish pages). also bought a shel silverstein book for the rug rat.
anywho...watched Resident Evil: Extinction last night. Prolly cuz I'm on the I am Legend kick still. Is it just me, or did the beasties in this movie franchise go from fast-moving badies (ala dawn of dead remake) to slow ass zombies that would lose a race to romero's zombies? anyway, it was watchable - and fairly quick if derivative and pointless.

Half way through The Invasion now... so far so good but it already shows where it'll go all wrong. And the science behind the story is just lame. I know, I know... again me with my "science" (DUH!) like it has something to do with Sci-Fi, right?
