Interestingly not a single name on the top of the poster gets mentioned in IMDB's first billed cast list :wacky: Is this movie really any good (it has an average of 8.1/10 on IMDB) or just overrated cuz it was first released in the summer time and ppl added a few points on their vote cuz of working air conditioning in the theatres?

Cool I'll watch it one day then. BTW what's with that first screen cap cuz if I hadn't watched it I'd have thought that's from Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead. Honestly it's exactly how I would have pictured them if I only read a book and not seen the movie as well. Is this movie borrowing from that movie a bit or just a coincidence?

I've not heard of that. They are dead, its a classical fairy tale spinner... there's a number of brothers, 7 i think all fighting for the throne of the kingdom and they keep killing each other off.

I think i under sold the movie, if you like fantasy films its enjoyable. Its more family orientated. It borrows from a lot of places, not always for the best (they use that annoying LOTR above the head panning shot of people walking through fields :(

But you just posted really "economic" review of this movie in "the last movie..." thread, Jynks ;) And I wish you hadn't cuz I rather rely on opinion of ppl here than on same generic bollocks site like IMDB/rotten/... I guess I'll have to watch it then, damn it :wacky: *click* *click* :D

well i thought the film was very good, my opinion of when i 1st started watching it was not good at all, but as you get into the movie, it becomes very enjoyable to watch.

It's also very funny.

I thoroughly enjoyed this film, even more than the two 5-year olds sitting behind me in the cinema who were shouting out "oh noes its the poison!" and "omgs look out!" throughout the film due to their excitedness.
