I think she's 17 irl.

@myk. thanks. I was just venting though, cuz I wasted about an hour on it last night (an hour of free time - so technically I was just playing with it). sata drivers were the original suspect, but I've ruled that out.

yeah. parkman's actually on a good mission with his father/boogeyman or whatever. and I didn't hate claire's dad except that he seems to be doing the same thing he did last season w/o the audience's sympathy. iunno. maybe it's just that all the mystery this season is artificially created by skipping events between s1 & s2 rather than actually creating new mysteries in s2 itself? a buddy of mine has already stopped watching in favor of guitar hero 3. I might do the same when rock band comes out.

dpn't get me wrong the parkman quest with his dad is ok, but that's still leaving the previous 4/5 episodes with him being a whiney little bitch, and living a (i suspect) civil partnership with mohinder

 I still haven't got round to watching latest "Heroes" and must say your comments are not exactly filling me with confidence it's even worth it. "Lorks a lordy"  haven't heard this one in ages... prolly cuz I try hard to avoid beebs' 5-8pm "makeover" shows  I know it's from "The Young Ones" but have only heard it as totally gay remarks since. The other half of the phrase must be what gay heavens looks like (just guessing) "Lorks a Lordy... my bottom's on fire!" :fruity:

Watched latest "Weeds" and it wasn't all that good. Not bad, just not much of a story in this ep... basically they're moving shit to where it stinks the most. I expect the next ep to pick up on that. So far, we've seen shit flying, shit swimming,... I guess it's time for shit with wings

BTW: I'm trying to find the original two seasons of "The Sketch Show" (the one with Ronni Ancona, Lee Mack,... but without Kelsey Grammer that sucked in the remake). If any of you can point me to some site or if you have it that'd be great ;) (I've tried on the box, nova,... no luck :()

 :? Don't remember that but it's prob'ly involving accidentally killing the gas man as he (Eddie "Hausfrau") forgot the iron was still turned on and it burnt a hole through the ironing board and punctured Suzie the oral pleasure doll that than knocked the oversized anal drill off the top shelve turning the oven on while the poor sod was looking for the gas leak

best bottom is "'s Out" (last episode in series 2, camping one) and the Ferris Wheel episode.

In fact series 3 is as good as ever with Bottom, I don't think there was a single substandard episode.

Guest House Paradiso wasn't great, but it wasn't bad.

My fav is also "...'s out" ... BTW "hausfrau" is German for housewife, but I have this feeling you knew that and you're both just pretending to be French so I'll look stupid explaining the obvious :googley:

EDIT: what do you mean wombles are not real creatures?

Which reminds me I wanted to unscrew my head off cuz I read this morning of 8800GT that can be had for 200-250€ (OC w/ 512MB) that's better than any GTS and even faster than GTX in some cases and barely lagging behind Ultra (plus running cooler and requires less PSU juice than 320MB GTS) and just bought 8800GTS for 380€ less than a week ago. :( :( :( Could you please not mention games or anything alike for say next couple of weeks?

That's it! I'm turning for the night... it's just not my day... oh, wait... there's one good news tho. I also ordered two additional hdds for my raid array and even though they're neither of the same make nor the same capacity than the other two that I had before, they're working together like a charm in matrix raids 1+0 (100GB bootable) and 0 (remaining 1TB + something) with HDTach scores way higher than any scores included with that benchmark suite (~130 and ~260MB/s sustained read speeds respectfully). Even faster than 4-drive 10K rpm raid5 on raid controller with hardware xor engine :P It's only shite cuz I expected the best out of graphics card and I really couldn't care less for the hdds that were so cheap it barely made any difference on the invoice... oh, well. I'll go cut some throats with my new x16 PCIe 1.1 short blade tomorrow and see if I can swap it for GT.

now i know a 8800 GT isn't better than a GTX ;)

I got a GTX and have benchmarked a GT previously although didn't bother getting one; getting much more out of the XFX 8800 GTX, although in fairness it had more ram as well as clock speed (768mb).

If you are comparing clocked cards, GTX is faster by ~10fps on same ram; if you overclock em both GTX has a smaller lead mind. That's using HL2, FEAR and m2 total war.

Ultra is a smaller gap between the GTX and itself, but it still wins out over the GTX barely :)

GTS I dunno, but GTS is worse than a GTX.

I read the reviews and what you describe Spud sounds about right. Shite is cuz I thought that price (~380€ w/ VAT) for "MSI NX8800GTS-T2D640E-HD-OC 640MB PCIe" + some passive cooler that I forgot what's called (I won't go opening my rig just to check for that... it's big, shiny and ugly as hell) was a bargain for such a lovely named card and the biggest GPU heatsink I've ever seen.

@Max... a quick copy/paste of one of my prev posts:

I'm trying to find the original two seasons of "The Sketch Show" (the one with Ronni Ancona, Lee Mack,... but without Kelsey Grammer that sucked in the remake). If any of you can point me to some site or if you have it that'd be great (I've tried on the box, nova,... no luck ).

I'll give you an update on other shows tomorrow as I'm really tired and still a bit angry (and NV-ous ) so I'm calling it a day.

evil dead
meh. respect. but I'm kind of looking forward to the remake cuz they'll do it campy like the sequels. ("book of the dead" version).

evil dead 2
I fully understand that it's a sequel, but it also completely retools the first one; I can't blame anyone for thinking that it's a retelling of the first. the time spent on events BEFORE the second night is pretty substantial compared to the overlap in the third movie. (watched the "book of the dead" version for the first time).

army of darkness (US theatrical).
US version cuz it's more fun. meaning it has the s-mart ending and the better lines like, "good. bad. I'm the guy with the gun." The DC version is more toned down, but since the signature of AoD (for me) is the lines and the bumbling bravado, I'm sticking with the US theatrical.

yes. this was how my friends and I spent Halloween.
