Urban Dictionary wrote:affeminate isn't defined yet, but these are pretty close:

1. SCHROVER - An affeminate man who wears make up, but is straight.
He thinks he's a gangster but eveyone knows hes a schrover.

"Dude, that kid just asked his mom to buy a Liza Minnelli CD...what a chomo!"

3. CHILMO - An extremely affeminate or literally homosexual child. The same as "chomo".
"That 'band stylist' kid from School of Rock was a TOTAL chilmo, no doubt about it!"

everybody with half a brain (ruling out all americans then) knows it's football not soccer, in a way you could use it in the same way americans think american football is a rough and tumble sport compared to rugby, let's take a look....

American football - massive padded "armour" that makes even the scrawniest little shitbag look tough enough to beat his way through a crowd, also things stop and start more then a lada, also they have to rest every 15 minutes because they are too weak to carry that crap for too long

Rugby - no safety equipment other than a teeth guard and crotch cup, constant fast paced play, lots of gouging and blood and so on and so forth......

yes, s1 of dexter is good. opening sequence always bugs me though cuz he starts off shaving, then when he pulls the shirt over his face, he's all stubble again.

I thought superman: doomsday was quite good. I wasn't wild about the voice work. but it was pretty much all you could ask for of a pg-13 variation of the 90s superman. I'm referring to the violence. I wish it was longer. there were so many interesting threads that just kinda get glossed-over. but I'm really wishing it was a limited mini-series of 6-12 eps. also, the movie itself is really two different (loosely related) stories pasted together. more on doomsday would have been cool. I never read the comic (marvel boy here), so it's all relatively new mythology to me.

I think that's dexter's lab that you're talking about?

Dexter is a showtime (ala hbo) series based some novels about a Miami PD forensics (blood splatter) specialist who is a serial killer himself. but he was raised (trained) by his adoptive father how to stalk and kill criminals if they meet certain requirements cuz it's easier to get away with and blah blah blah. it's really good, I think.

in any case, maxy's still upset about my calling his wee little football game soccer, but the star of the show IS the same actor who played the gay brother in six feet under. he plays it really well. s1 is good. it's a pretty tightly woven, limited series too. verdict is still out on s2 (2 eps old). but go check out s1. it's good.

haha i don't even like football so believe me i really don't give a shit, i just enjoy correcting americans, because i don't like them, but then i also don't like lots of other nationalitys..... hmm i wonder if i could get out fo jury duty ever using that excuse, "m'lud, i have a dislike for all nationalitys and ethnicitys, so i can't pass unbias judgement on them"... i'll either get off jury duty or be thrown in jail for being a rascist, one of the 2.

Personally i think forced jury duty is shit anyway, i really couldn't give a shit about anyones life if i don't know them, i'd willingly send someone to jail if it meant i could go home quicker

I don't believe you'd do something like that at all if such case actually ever happened. You'll prolly just a bit like me... hating all that's forced on you and blatantly dissing it while it's still only a theoretical possibility. And that's all fine; It's because of it you would've made a good jury member in the first place as you wouldn't have problems seeing what's wrong with something being forced on someone else, too. Besides, I didn't get an impression you're a general all round hater at all and are prolly quite a decent fella to be around with (you working in a shop IMO proves that, as you'd get a boot by now otherwise). And not liking, hating even, other nationalities... that's all fine, too. You weren't born with it, nobody has been. It's in the air we all breathe lately so you're really just a victim here. Like we all are. I too feel an urging need to kick back at something/someone for being butt-fucked by hatred of others. I don't even get it... why would some shit-heads no one needs even immigrate to a country whose ppl he/she couldn't understand and isn't willing to re-socialize in the first place? And why would any country even allow that to happen? ... What I'm saying is I'm of a different nationality than you are, but still face the same problems you do. It's global. And you're spot on... I hate lots of other nationalities in my country, too. Rats are poisoning our lands and they end-up being either baggers or beggars anyway. Does the fact that I can smell shit and don't like it make me a bad person and a general all round hater? I don't think so. :wacky: And so aren't you... Poking Dinky with your "US sukz" stick now and then is merely a reflex!

first off, democracy requires participation from all citizens in order to function properly. in my country, it's one's duty to serve, but it's not like you have to "serve now or go to jail." if you have a valid reason (usually having to do with earning your livelihood), you can get exempt for that turn. I understand your not liking the idea of feeling "forced" to do it, but you're a real shit if you don't do it. it's a perfectly reasonable duty for every citizen.

btw: hating all ethnicities might get you off, but it also might get you on, since you'd still technically be impartial.

personally, I hated being called down and wasting my day, but it was also fascinating to sit there and be a part of real litigation as opposed to the horseshit they air on television. I actually wanted to get on the jury. it would have felt good to have an immediate impact on the interpretation and execution of government. you don't get anything like that experience from voting, at least not in my state, where it's almost always "democratic" so all the electoral votes always go to the same party and the popular votes don't count for shit anyway.

back on track: first ep of witchblade, the anime series. considering I detest anime, it was very good. the action shots were as gay as anime always is, and the villains are equally stupid (why does anime go out of its way to creat the stupidest looking "creatures" and villains?). and the witchblade mechanics themselves are different form the comic. it's supposed to be a gauntlet that the lady put on, but it's some kind of tattoo that suddenly appears. another thing I hate about anime is it's all the same. you can see all these changes basically making witchblade just another run of the mill anime creature feature fantasy. the fact that the woman is a mother of one is a good change. but by far the best aspect of this show is that they keep the annoying, high pitched screaming to a minimum. why does every anime character's voice have to sound like a whiny bitch? I hate that shit.

i detest anime too but i watched some episodes of death note and really enjoyed them, so i have the rest to watch at some time, theres no whiney gay voices in death note either and its pretty good, also none of that stupid stripey background attack stuff, or eyes that look like they are ready to bulge out of their faces, there's only 1 weird looking thing in it but he's the demon who drops the death note into our world

elizabeth: the golden age
follow-up to elizabeth (1998). cate blanchet is brilliant again. geoffry rush is good. clive owen is good. the movie is otherwise forgettable. the basic plot is centered around the spanish armada and mary queen of the scots. what annoyed me about it was that mary was already a "prisoner" of elizabeth's when the movie begins, and there's all this intrigue about mary trying to assassinate elizabeth, but there's absolutely no background whatsoever for the situation with mary. now you could pass it off and say, "that's history dude. you should know it." to which I reply "yeah. and fuck you too!" no. seriously: the movie DOES go into detail about the spanish end of things, catching everyone up on the state of affairs since the first movie. but there ain't shit about how mary ended up where she was. honestly, I have to question whether the fricken' director didn't know and therefore left it out of the movie. that's my only plot complaint. it wasn't the biggest problem with the movie, however. the movie's real problem is that every time it goes for this climactic, emotional scene, it leans almost entirely on the musical score - the really loud and overweening score - to do the job in place of the plot-action and characterization. and the music was so loud at those moments, you couldn't help but be very conscious of the contrast. the music isn't bombastic the way hans zimmer is (I actually like zimmer's stuff, but it's fit for battle and up tempo stuff - or the lion king!). but anyway, it's not hans zimmer kind of in your face. it's "the fecking director/editor feels he has nothing more interesting to show you so let's turn up the music really loud and play a 'serious' or 'sad' song." pathetic. a real waste. so basically, the acting is good. the plot is weaker than the first, and the script is shit. still, it's saying something that I'd give it a 5/10 after all that.

Elizabeth: Golden Axe huh? Cool...

I watched Rambo 3  That film is funny as hell, the aciton sequences obviously cost a pretty penny but its a bad film. However, it is hilariously ironic and something i assume Hollywood is deeply embarassed about at the moment.

"This is Afghanistan... Alexander the Great try to conquer this country... then Genghis Khan, then the British. Now Russia. But Afghan people fight hard, they never be defeated. Ancient enemy make prayer about these people... you wish to hear?"
etc.

In a modern context Rambo is probably there shooting the afghan children in their sleep, and raping the afghan women
