yeah, i agree with vae victis, the quality of the movie is quite poor to be in the high quality section.

QUESTION-How would I remove those scan lines through Gknot??

The source was interlaced so you'd have to setup some sort of deinterlacing. Bicubic deinterlacing is what I normally go with and you can't miss the scan line (odd or even) with it and create even worse output 
I don't remember how it is done in gknot as I don't even have it installed on my machine anymore but there should be a setting for this somewhere, I'm sure.

If you still have scanlines on every frame, you need to deinterlace
