16 blocks. it was actually kind of funny that the movie never explained the significance of the name. I'm not a fan of spelling things out, but the name of the movie ought to have some sort of integration with the plot-action. for the record: it's 16 blocks to deliver a witness to the court house. it's not like you can't figure it out. I'm just sayin'...the name ought to be more carefully selected or better integrated than THAT. :?

movie was ok. cookie cutter. mercury rising is better and pretty much the same. bruce willis is the disaffected cop. meh.

Saw that one when it came out and forgot all about it by now. Cookie cutter it may be, but it didn't cut the cake :P

Saw "Serenity" once more. Dunno, I still don't think it's anything near the quality of the series. Some visuals/CGIs are not even on par with recent SW reincarnations and that says a lot. Also, acting picks up on quality way too late like they needed a kick start after a long pause :? Not to mention score/soundtrack :outsider:

funny. I thought the movie improved most of what was wrong with the series: faster pace, focused plot, complete story, no wild west shite, integrates a relevant theme without stretching the material to fit into a morality tale (very bsg in that). but the physics really annoyed me. how could then have normal gravity in a space ship like that. that was shit. throw that movie away.

not watched movies of late, been trying some demos (all PC of course)

Enemy Territory - Quake Wars, which is kinda fun, a prequel to the strogg invasion from quake 2, bit like bf2 in type of game, but more mission based and not just "oh we lost that spawn point"

World in Conflict - it's ok, havent played it enough really to form a proper opinion

John Woo's Stranglehold - i'd like to say it's dead good, but frankly i wouldn't know, it's yet another game based on the Unreal 3 engine, that The makers claim is shader 2.0 compatible yet only works on shader 3.0 cards, therefore alienating a major target audience, the game itself comes on 2 yes count 'em 2!! dvd9s, and installs to around 15 gig, yet isnt playable unless you are alan sugar and can afford a brand new graphics card :matrix:

I watched Superman: Doomsday. It was okay, but I didn't really like the animation style.

That said they completely smashed up metropolis and I always enjoy that... the biggest dissapointment of super hero movies is they don't completely destroy the cities they are in as they are beating each other up.

Didn't really like the story arch, seemed a bit peripheral and something they could have done in a tv episode.

Wasn't terrible, i've seen worse kid's cartoons :)

I have this friend that totally wants to draft me into "World in Conflict"... I'll play hard to get for a while just for the sake of annoying him (such fun LOL :P) and keeping up the appearances (of being a complete bastard that is ) then I'll prolly get bored and try it anyways ;)

I've been watching Dr Awful's House of Horrible and I have to say, I fair enjoy it. okay its no Darkplace but steve coogan is brilliant in it and there's some silliness that kept me entertained all through the series.

No decent rips of it on emule though, I'll have to rip it.

watched the family guy SW special. was decent. mildly entertaining. nothing special. looked like some cgi animation? just seeing SW in that animation scheme was pretty cool. other stuff was hit or miss but nothing extreme in either direction.

gonna watch the family guy sw special now, been watching series 1 of Death Note (anime) about an intellectual japanese teen boy who is top of his class in everything, but who finds a notebook where if you write a persons name into it while having their image in your mind they will die within 60 seconds, and he starts bumping off criminals to reshape the world into a crime free haven where he is reverred as a god, but ends up in a cat and mouse game against the worlds best detective "L" who is determined to catch him. Pretty good, although i'm missing episode 1x10 :(

Well with your 24... let's just say I pack a punch of them more... all in all, and being totally honest... 24 y/o was important to me... that was about the last year I had a good time without the now mandatory "did I really?" question at the end of whatever could have been... so have it as good as it gets for as long as it lasts ;) !!! (to recoup on this and just before Dinky comments on it... BTW, I've had a few good days/weeks since completing 24th nonetheless, so... no worries).
