ok. I'm not actually sure I speak wii yet, cus the stuff about VC and your whole last line kinda faded into a mumble in my head like someone switching from english to japanese or something.

so do you play with anyone? I ask cuz I think we spent about 4 hours (taking turns there were 5 of us) playing mostly that tennis game that comes with it. that was actually kinda fun. I can only imagine how fun it will be to play a game with any kind of graphics.

but back to the green squares, what kinda video connection are you using and what kinda display?

I love B5..... i really like the original captain as well... everyone seam to like the tron guys more for some reason....

S2 of buffy down..... Still think this show is awesome but she is already starting to be the winy wingey little cry buffy that annoys teh hell out of me. Why aren't all the characters like Cordie, Xander and Giles.

yeah. for all the female leads joss uses, it's his male characters that really pop onscreen. I'm thinking particularly of the extreme blandness of females in firefly/serenity. but buffy mostly only works cuz or xander and/or angel. although willow manages to break the mold a bit more than usual for wheden. curious, I think.

you mean the original commander? he hasn't been replaced yet. but I do see a different picture on the s2 discs. guess his "destiny" calls. so does mine. off to school. ciao.

VC is Virtual Console rather than Viet Cong (in reference to the good guys in that war you lost ). I downloaded SimCity you see.

I do play tennis, and bowling. There's a few other games too but in the absense of mario kart and super smash bros wii editions, its a bit sporradic what's played. Its a fun multiplayer machine though.

Component @ 480p; but the fault will be present in most/all connections since its a confirmed hardware defect. Nintendo have emailed me back saying send it along to them with proof of purchase, and i've just emailed them back saying no send me a pre-paid postage box because its a confirmed hardware defect. Nintendo of america is supposed to be excellent with repairs, but i couldn't get through the phones to help @ nintendo uk, so had to mail em.

no. I saw the movie/pilot way back when. but by the time I figured out there was a series, I was turned off by the ridiculous dress-up game and the fact that it was a total chat-fest. but I like jms generally. this is supposed to be his "buffy." and I figure if I was willing to give farscape another shot, might as well do it with something much more highly regarded (in general, spud; take it easy).

anyway, what I've noticed this far is it's interesting, of course. and there are the usual filler eps that don't do much to further the major story arcs. but it's very much a cable tv show. limited fx and sets. cornball aliens at times (I'm especially thinking of the centari, of course). I was initially quite bothered by the daytime soaps quality acting of the cast. commander sinclair has a great voice but he couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. or at least that's my impression from this show. I also thought ivonava was just ugly. so she takes some getting used to. the security guy has more personality, but we're still talking daytime soaps quality. the aliens are the only moderately interesting ones, mostly cuz they get a pass on the personality thing since they aren't held to "human" standards of behavior anyway. iunno. that's the bad. I always liked their fighter ships. I'm continually annoyed by the terms and names they give things. I mean, for a show that was basically plotted to be 5 acts from the get go, the "code level ultraviolet purple" sure sounds like something I made-up off the cuff playing star wars in my backyard when I was 8. still, the vorlons and the gray council stuff is enough to keep the interest. s'not like I have anything better to do atm.

Got to season 3, ep 1 of "Red Dwarf". Nearly soiled my panties backwards

"Backwards" is the name of an episode. One of the funniest, craziest eps at that IMO Extremely well shot too (I still have difficulties understanding how they did that, mixing reversed shots with normal ones ) and a must watch! That joke, albeit a bit lame , is in regard to Cat's experience in taking a dump in a parallel universe Earth, where everything happens backwards It's hysterically funny, I tell ya

Backwards is an awesome episode, the entire series 3 was gold, but then series 6 is arguably the best, and people always push the case for S1-2 as well.

Infact, i'm gonna watch red dwarf again i haven't seen them since the dvds came out, so that's some years back now for early series.

Strange, cos i used to watch bottom, red dwarf, etc. on vhs in a loop pretty much. I could honestly watch them over and over

only 2 discs into s2 of b5. it's a lot more interesting than most of s1. it looks a bit like jms blatantly stole the "rangers" from LotR and plopped them on the outter rim of B5. but it's cool cuz...it's cool.

In the Theater? Transformers, best movie of the year so far. PotC3 was good & SM3 was just sad.

At home? I tend to watch at LEAST 1 movie a day. Or a few TV episodes off DVD ...
