Do I smell you two brewing testosterone?

This weeks selection so far: "The Yards", "The Wind That Shakes The Barley", "Straight Time", "Mad Max"& final few eps of "Brass Eye". Saw all that before so I won't comment on them this time round. Lucky you ;)

"Mad Max 2", "Mad Max 3" just for background noise and then "Heaven" (the one w/ Cate Blanchett) cuz some of it is in Italian and I'm slowly shifting to my non-English European movies collection to brush up a bit on other languages before the open season ;)

New teenage mutant ninja turtles season 5 (the PPV only Ninja Tribunal Arc), it's good, one or 2 eps feel a bit disjointed but that's all, really good action

live free or die hard wasn't all bad. I was surprised. it was actually pretty decent except every once in a while there are these completely obvious gaffs (google the scene with the helicopter jump) and places where it looks like someone's words don't match up with his lip movements. it's not remotely original, but I'd say it treats the original die hard material with reverence. it's not a buddy comedy the way vengeance was, but it's not as good either. it's better than 2, but I guess that's not saying much, especially to this crowd.

well technically if you enjoyed die hard 1 you should enjoy die hard 2, as its really a carbon copy, although of course renny "i directed fucking cliffhanger for god sake" harlin directed it instead which makes it instantly not as good

and yes those are the very same tmnt

I am hanging for Live free or Die Hard.. i think it is going to be good.. i hope they just thow everything into the wind and go all out.. i wana see out of control action, some humour and John's character getting more and more beat up as the film goes on. As a big fan of diehard... (have to go with Dink.. 1->3->2) I would be very surprised if this sucked.... well i guess i wouldn't but i really hope it dose not.

Wish it was out over here...!! Damn you brits

careful with the expectations. it's a len "I directed the Underworld movies" wiseman. and, of course, it's only PG-13. I think I liked it mostly cuz I thought it would suck hard. and from a technical standpoint, it's a very poorly cut film. mistakes even my mother would notice.

I should think suck comes first. then die. but otherwise, yes. that sounds about right.

just got back from ratatouille. strange as this may seem, it's actually the most grown-up/adult oriented of all the Pixar movies. Only shrek and the incredibles come close to it with toy story a distant fourth. that's not overall ratings. just talking about the sophistication of the plots and/or themes. anyway...I liked it. I think it will do well enough cuz it's Pixar, but it won't do very well for Pixar cuz it's one of those border pics were adults will think it's childish and children won't get it - although some of the awkward feeling is, I think, ADULTS not getting it and thinking it's really simple stuff just because of the animated frame and setup.

Herzog's "Invincible" and it was a pain to watch that anti-anti-semitism propaganda flick. Childish structure, lame acting, and directed like... well, if you cut crap, it's gonna smell even worse in turn. Only for die hard Jews by heart and conviction and lobotomized individuals.

FTM: Also watched ep1 of new series "Burn Notice"... CRAP!!! Deleted it after watching it for about 20 minutes. It started bad, got worse and all I got out of it was a lame excuse for watching some quasi hot bikini shots. Rather watch Baywatch reruns instead or... just get hoffed ;)
