Sometimes it feels like it. I have so many sci fi films it is going to take me a century to post them all...

Maybe you could consider usenet to spread faster. :)

That's a neat idea, but i doubt spread is this word to use. Its by no means a garauntee that they'll make it to mule or any persistant share.

Neat method of sharing. You'll probably want to look at how to do a 2pass encode if your going to try posting rips on news (easy in gknot :) )

If you are interested in faster sharing I would so wat <insert> dose.... simply release the files on mule AND on BTorrent. Both types of p2p apps can share from the same file, so you will not be using any more disk space or anything... on top of that do a single post into NBZ and you are pretty much assured the files will get around fats though news and torrent, + persistent shred on mule.

Also a lot of torrent users run mule and share there torrent downloads.. as the files all have teh same hash it creates more sources on mule as well faster.

i don't agree with that, torrent is an inferior system to news with a lot of serious problems, most of all that you can't effectively run emule and torrent at the same time. torrent is a newbie tool, but its merits still haven't been effectively proven to me yet, and its not exactly a new system.

News just 1ups torrent, i have absolutely no need for a system of no merit here. News and mule covers everything.

I think torrent is a sidetrack, not a way forward. News fulfills its role, more than aptly imo.

I just wish to add that I have talked about usenet just because the big amount of movies digitalgodd is releasing, that are too many in too little time. Yes, there is no guarantee that a movie posted on usenet will be put on share on p2p, but it's a plus anyway. I for instance put some of those on share when I see they are the same released on p2p. It's not much, but that way I'm a FULL source in a few minutes.

I take the approach of doing both at once (or rather someone helps me share on newsgroups cos my upload sucks... (switching isp)). It does help spread.
I also preshare for emule as well and get feedback from a small group of people so i know my rips are good, and that i haven't missed something like cropping (or accidently muxing in the wrong audio!).

Works really well.

Torrent just doesn't help spread though, it just moves it to a less open network.
