waiting...</i>. bland. I guess it's bad. in all honesty, it wasn't good or bad. it was just there. but I guess that's a bad thing for a movie to be.

black donnellys and 24. I guess BD isn't doing so well. it's going to be pulled from its time slot and replaced by some reality "wedding crashers" show. :?

too bad. I thought the show had a great atmosphere and a cool premise and I have enjoyed the last couple eps. all kinds of potential in a post sopranos world, imo. plus, I hate the idea of yet another reality show. I'd rather see another law & order, csi, or er clone. and that's saying something, because I avoid those shows like the plague.

oh well. tudors is supposed to be good (although my mom likes it, and that's not really a good sign for me). and entourage and sopranos this weekend! 8)

edit: also tried to watch The New World two nights ago. it was putting me to sleep. turned it off about an hour into it. dunno if will ever finish.

edit2: oh yeah...1080i rip of Shrek 2 last night. not as unique or deep as the first one, but prolly the most consistently funny animated movie in the toy story era.

I hated Shrek 2 when compared to the original one. It's entertainment value was on par with feature length fart joke type cartoons IMO. I watched it only cuz I had no choice, if you know what I mean ;)

Also watched 24 and it's getting so predictable it felt like I saw it all before. Not in a Deja Vu sense, but in way more boring "wait, now it's a bit like MacGywer, only Jack seldomly uses his pocket knife" sense

"The New World" is a bit like that, yup ;) I'd fall asleep too if it weren't for that Q'Orianka Kilcher babe I think was cute. There's a bit more action toward its end but still not enough IMO. It's more like a romantic drama with a few fighting scenes in it. Stretched way too long too for what's basically Dancing With Wolves: The Beginning

well, it is almost exclusively joking within an american pop culture frame. but whatever floats yer boat.

watched ep 1 of Tudors. it is indeed a good looking show. looks like it might last longer than Rome too (begins with henry 8 ).

in other news you didn't wanna know, I think I'm completely purged of any desire to watch porn ever again</i> - or at least for the rest of the week. seriously, saw something that looked normal by a guy called maxhardcore, and it just turned...I don't know how to describe it. disturbing. I am disturbed. porn actresses are so terribly bad actors, there's noway they could fool you, right? so did he just rape that girl? note to self: max's father's videos are not to be viewed - ever! :o

So i saw 300 again, at the cinema with some people from work.

It does not stand up to repeat viewings, it was substantially worse this time round. Although everyone seemed to come out glossy eyed, I have to wonder over the mindset of movie goers... looking at 300 on imdb, the score is exceptionally high. It is unbelievable. imdb really needs to lower the rating of scores given in the first 12 months after a movie is released to prevent this glossy eyed overrating.

I watched south park, it was another classic. Love the da vinci code pisstake and gandalf's name (lol @ teabag).

I watched the Descent. I still think that film could have been a lot better but it ended up being too "flashy" and silly where as if it played it completely straight and not so hollywood it would have been a really great horror movie, on the same level as the previous Dog Soldiers. But it fails to be that great :( The ending bites too, it feels like a complete cop-out.

The Lookout</i>. great movie. well...great might be excessive. but it was very good. funny/silly visuals with one of the bad guys and jeff daniels. but...iunno...I think the writer/director is really onto something here.

it bears some similarity to memento</i>, but the similarity has nothing to do with what makes it so good, imo. oh. and there's some token female character that thankfully doesn't get developed or it would be like sticking katie holmes in batman begins</i>. psst, max: it's the australian chick from wedding crashers</i>.

s1 of dexter</i>. a very nice little series. I'm not sure about the s2 or whatever else after s1 (cuz there's a lot of "revelation" in s1 that kinda damages the show's premise imo). but a quality show that I'm happy to add to the lineup.

Dexter... another series I've never heard of (or read the two books) but what reviews I read looks cool. I'll once more rely on your opinion Dinky, just tell me this is more than "my morality is higher than yours" type of show and I'll gladly add it in queue ;)

no. I don't think so. it's about a psycho who quenches his bloodlust killing bad guys cuz he was conditioned to do so by his foster father. so there's the whole batman vigilante wet dream thing sort of. but it's still a fuckin' psycho who pretends to be nice and have friends and so on and so forth.

I see... thanks Dinky, sounds great ;) BTW I'm DLin' high res rips and there are only a few sources for it, is it worth downloading HR ones or is it shot on a lower budget and not worth the extra bandwidth? Any good special effects/nudity  ... or anything I'd need it to be HR or will normal HDTV rips do just as well? I'm not normally as picky with movies but with series I do like to do my homework before I DL anything, like with 24 I DLed normal rips and was then really sorry I did with the first ep of season 3 (there's a good reason to zoom in to that "the girl next door" in it )

erm...I dl a torrent pack on a private tracker. 24 gigs for the series (2g per 1hr ep at 720p). there is nudity. mostly corpses. there's some action but nothing big. if you'd need high res for sopranos or the wire, I think you'd want it for this. but there aren't any cgi or major action sequences to speak of. doubt what I watched was a scene release.

sopranos and entourage. sopranos was a bit disapppointing. it was a good ep. it just wasn't an especially good/great one. with so few eps left, I would have hoped the focus would be more on other things.

Watched "Deja Vu" today. It's a nice little sci-fi thriller with good action sequences but has quite a lot plot holes that you'll notice if you happen to be able to apply logic to all of it as it gets quite confusing for most ppl I talked about it afterwards. I guess it's always a bit confusing if there's time traveling, time-line gets broken, or if there are alternate realities in a movie. The execution of it was spot on IMO, both acting and directing, and I think all the blame for not being a perfect movie should be put on script writer(s) or anybody fiddling with it in the process of making this movie. I won't go into details what plot holes I'm thinking about for the moment, perhaps at some other occasion when most of you will see it and I won't have to spoil it for you ;) It's still a good movie well worth 5 bucks nonetheless :D

FTM: Watched season finale of "Life on Mars" yesterday and it was bloody marvelous :D I almost cried in the end now having to wait if there'll be any new episodes in the future and hoping that US remake of it gets postponed indefinitely cuz it won't do anybody any good and can even kill the idea of the real thing making it to the next season IMO. And after seeing what damage US based remakes can do to originally UK shows (think of The Office, Coupling,...) I'd really rather see they didn't :P

ep 2 of tudors</i>. it's no rome</i> :( but it's entertaining enough, I guess. I like the guy who plays henry VIII j rhys myers or something? he was in the woody allen flick match point</i> with scarlett. mmm...scarlett....

Listen the jury found my dad completely innocent of all charges :P

Ironically my 2week abscence from here could've made it look as tho it is actually me who makes maxhardcore, but it isn't (although i have nothing against the mans work, if the lass in question was british, but specifically english, then she was probably raping him and will appear on Jeremy Kyle in a few weeks

I remember seeing a few of MH's movies before actually but i don't recall ever seeing the one in question

Anyway the reason i've been offline is the house had to be rewired (stupid government legislation), so afterwards while my room was empty i decorated it too.

All i've really done in between was play GTA Liberty City Stories & Vice City Stories, as my pc was all bundled up in storage and my ps2 wasn't
