"Lady in the Water" - it's enjoyable for the most part only I find the ending a bit too predictable. Interesting movies this M. Night Shyamalan dude makes in a *Batteries not included* kinda way

he got lucky in his early work. recent work is probably worse than kevin smith. except ks movies are sci-fi geek fests, so they're still moderately entertaining whereas shyamalan is a legend in his own mind, and he wants the rest of the world to think so too.

edit: oh yeah: wedding crashers. next is either borat or illusionist. I'm retiring the xbmc. have a micro atx box with dvd dl rw and a ton of storage. it's its own server and it can stream files from the rest of the network. so the xbox is relegated to being just an xbox again. which means light use during parties with karaoke and ddr. (not me - ok. I do try to rock out a bit with "under pressure").

Wait, you're not serious right? :? That would be what, like a gazillionth time now? :? WTF? Does every new chick you bring home need to see that movie first so they won't feel the urge to stay for the morning coffee or something?

watched About Last Night, last night, it was ok but nothing special, not as good as St. Elmo's fire, which i also got in the set (along with Breakfast Club), James Belushi played Rob Lowes friend as a arrogant male chauvanist dickhead really really well, Rob Lowes acting ability seems to diminish the older he gets so as he's young in this film it wasn't bad, demi moore sounds like a chain smoking heroin addicted prostitute, and her friend was just annoying

Watched it on dvd tho as my main 300gig hdd (paritions c and d) is starting to click and ocassionally disconnect during boot up, so im trying to back everything up off it before it dies, because as we all know the click of death is like a rattlesnakes death rattle

don't want to watch anything new when I may or may not fall asleep. it's a quick movie. I happen to like the jokes/gags. and being a light comedy, it doesn't exactly scream for a lot of focus or attention.

edit: and...erm...it's what the dvd changer is set on.

/me shrugs

smallville should be new tonight.

borat.

got really pissed for a min when I thought my dvr failed to record smallville. then the box kindly reminded me that today is (was) only wednesday, not thursday.

borat was quite funny at places. and the social commentary of the rodeo scene was stinging (i.e., very effective). but overall, it was too long and not much of a movie. or maybe I was just tired.

W00t suicide girls :D

been watching some eps of Automan, it's sooo cheesey but amusing, they keep trying to look cool by having songs that were out when the show was made (80s) like michael jackson, blondie, Yes, Men at work etc etc except they obviously couldn't afford to use the proper songs so they use these Hideous cover versions instead that sound dreadful

Latest LoM and boy did I miss that show and it's only been off the air for what, two weeks? Since you're mentioning music Max, LoM has great selection for the period and equally great background score too IMO only this latest ep they used "Santana" as a panic codeword  Also watched some eps of "V" and while it's ridiculously lame acting and it's shot worse than most of the pr0n I've seen I still kinda enjoy it, mostly cuz I'm interested in the story and how things will develop. I normally wouldn't comment on clothing (or the lack of it  which would be great) but if fashion was anything like they show us in "V" back then, I wonder how on Earth our parents got lucky to have us

saw hot fuzz last night.

Awesome film, really funny. There's a long establishing period, and then a continual build up of action but the violence and comedy is brilliant. Don't want to spoil it. See it, if you miss it then I pity you.... :outsider:

Great cast, witty script with all the nods you got in Spaced/Shaun of the Dead, its 2hrs but it would be hard to cut it down. See it :)

strange that they're holding back the US release date. with all the established artists, it's not like hollywood is afraid it won't sell. :?

april 20th here.
