Supernova (2000) who has seen this movie?

Postby El Mariachi on Mon May 24, 2004 6:35 pm

me mate from the UK ripped this movie for me, but I dont know if I have the R Rated version or the PG-13 version

the movie was ok... not bad like most reviews say it is, but not a triumph in story or special fx either.

I think the theatrical version was PG-13 and the DVD version was rated R

I quite like this film especially the concept of the 9th Dimensional matter explosion. I only have a 1 CD version of it and would like a 2 CD version

I have this on DVD (got it for £2!).

It's not bad, the deleted scenes are interesting.

Crap olla!! This movie was one of those "well it HAS got a few shots of space and a alien planet, guess I;ll watch it" type movies.

Nothing special but hey better than watching somthing you have already seen a zillion times.

Spoiler:
Has a real cool thing I havn't seen in many sci fi shows were when they go through hyper jump object mix together... the acident at the begining welding the dude to the glass and the ending when they mux into one life form was a cool idea.. so kudus to that bit

I remember it being billed as something like Event Horizon: more what I think of as horror than sci-fi. and I did like EH inasmuch as I enjoy any spook movie, even though it was panned for being derivative. so when I finally got around to renting Supernova, I was surprised by the nature of the movie but it was kinda...bland. almost like it was part murder mystery, part thriller, part sci-fi adventure/fantasy, but not really memorable at any aspect.

[quote="Radio Times"]Begun by Romper Stomper director Geoffrey Wright, finished by 48 HRS director Walter Hill, re-edited against his wishes by Francis Ford Coppola and then partly re-shot by The Hidden director Jack Sholder. It's no wonder this drag of a science-fiction adventure is an incomprehensible mess. Credited to a bogus name ?
