watched the last 2 eps of torchwood that were on (forgot about them) anyway they were pretty good, although in episode 10 seeing Owens 'Come' face really wasn't something i think we really needed to see... at all.... ever. Apart from that it was a good ep although i would've liked to know what happened to Diane after she flew off, and what happened to the London chick, i'm guessing we are meant to believe Diane ended up in another time and london chick did fine

it was christmas day, i was mostly out of it, it was either spend time with an alcoholic uncle, a mega religious auntie, a miserable grandma and my family.....or go and watch movies in the other room with a bottle of vodka and crisps.... to find out they don't have a dvd player in there only a vcr, so bbc1 it was

gummie bears. first hour or so of confessions of a sociopathic social climber. wasn't horrible. not worth staying up to finish, however.

Finally found time to revisit some of my fav alien themed sci-fi/horror movies. I watched "Alien", "Aliens", "Fire In The Sky", and "Donnie Darko" in the days since Xmas and even though I knew every last detail of them I never got bored. Damn fine movies if you ask me, especially "Alien" that I must have watched for the millionth time and still can't find a single wasted frame in it :D Next in line are some French sci-fi/wacky movies ("The City of Lost Children", "Delicatessen", "The Final Combat") that I already saw and I expect to have a great time, too.

Fire In The Sky

is that the one that's based on the "true story" from 1997? IMDB if so there's another movie out based on it too that's meant to be good called Night Skies

Yes, I never cared much for how true it was. Just a good movie :D Watched "The City of Lost Children" and it still amazes me how incredible imagination some of the creators of it must have had :wacky: I'm just in the process of forcing myself to do some paintings so I can give them away as late Xmas/New Years' gifts and find it quite difficult as much of what imagination I had as a child is now replaced by dull consumership (that's mostly fear, hate and envy). I need to decompile myself somehow

transformers: the movie</i> (new dvd transfer). better than the s1 & s2 eps I've rewatched. lots of plot (and potential) but breezes right through everything - to my disappointment. makes me appreciate even the simplest beast wars</i> episode as being superior to the very best of G1 & 2 stuff. we won't even mention the super-shite japanimation crap though, which is on par with pokemon. :(

Didn't manage to watch any movies since my last post & donno if this is the best thread for this (at least most of the regulars read it so it should do the trick) so bare with me:

I wish all you guys (and ladies if present :D) an extremely happy new year and thanks for all the troubles you went through providing us with the best sci-fi BB on this planet! Let the force be with you!

See you next year
