Obviously Torchwood is quickly gaining on popularity as these three different PDTV/HDTV releases show us. Torrents are all well seeded for each release :D

Word of caution: Don't know why but there is one unverified "S01E10.HDTV.XviD-GOTHiC" file on ed2k network that has completely different hash than what it should have had for this release. Might or might not be a fake :? Use ed2k links provided on this page as they're all verified and seeded!

Am I the only one here who thinks this series gets more and more boring with each episode? I think I will drop it.

I actually like the fact that this series offers some variety and doesn't follow the same tune all the time like some other, khmm - "similar series". Yes, you're thinking of the same one I am  OK so some episodes are a bit slow and now we had them two in a row that might be called that (to be frank, not much happened in them and the endings left us with much to be desired) but IMO this series still has a lot of potential. And with all those different writers it's about time we get what first episodes promised this show to be. After all, it's created by Russell T. Davies (sadly - except for one episode - not written by)! I'm not dismissing this show that easily

Only two?

MyK wrote: but IMO this series still has a lot of potential.

Not for me anymore. After the last ep. I deleted 1 - 11. I simply don't care for emotional crap and who fucks whom. Fine if it is there in minimal dosage, but I have the feeling this is all this series is about and the alien stuff is only a thin 'sugar coating'. Don't need this.

emotional crap

Emotionless we'd all have an IQ of 0  Sorry, it's a joke so don't take it personally, just don't see how emotions can be crap. Sure, who does who might seem irrelevant at a first glance, but I sensed even in the first few eps (see "last movie you saw" thread if you wish) that this might take place in this series and for reasons I understand. And it's been written before it's more adult oriented so there are bound to be some plot twists (or better "twisted plots"). Not that it's "Dallas" or some other shallow crap, anyway. On the other hand I can totally understand some people won't like it. That's personal preference and we're all entitled to have them  Could it be you're taking that "alien stuff" too seriously? IMO that's just there as an instrument for studying possible human responses in unusual situations and social interactions are one type of such interactions. And the only time sex scenes bother me is when I'm fully loaded with no lucky lady in sight

I am not interested in emotional problems of people I don't like or don't care for. None of the characters in Torchwood are particularly likable for me.

MyK wrote:Sure, who does who might seem irrelevant at a first glance, but I sensed even in the first few eps (see "last movie you saw" thread if you wish) that this might take place in this series and for reasons I understand. For me it is. If 'adult oriented' means 'written for women' I stick with the shallow geek stuff. Instead of Torchwood I could also watch some women centered soap operas.

MyK wrote:On the other hand I can totally understand some people won't like it. That's personal preference and we're all entitled to have them

Right. Initially I just asked whether I am the only one with this opinion. If you like it, lucky you. At least one more series, you can enjoy. :-)

MyK wrote:Could it be you're taking that "alien stuff" too seriously?

Too serious? This is what I like. Torchwood does not deliver, so I dropped it. But at least it was only boring and not disgusting like the new Galactica series. :-)

MyK wrote: IMO that's just there as an instrument for studying possible human responses in unusual situations and social interactions are one type of such interactions.

Fine if you want such stuff. I don't.

Yes, that bothers me, too. That's why I'll never watch "Sex in the City" Jokes aside, you do have a point there, it's just that I'll stick with it for the time being and hope for the best
