predictive texting on your mobile phone....

Postby banjo on Wed Oct 25, 2006 8:11 am

I usually use T9 whenever I send text messages rather than multi-tap which I think lenghtens the time.

What about you, what mode are you more convenient in sending text messages?

if i could use my phone i would use predictive, its a lot faster.
I'm not a big mobile phone person though. Its too sluggish multi tapping.

I've been wanting to buy a new one, but they always bundle a lot of crap i don't want.

Hey maybe someone can recommend one?
Stuff i want is long battery life, internet/email facility (is there some scheme with a flat rate for it always being on? I'd rather email and message than text)... i guess that's contracting terms though? Needs to be smallish and have excellent reception throughout the north west of england.

Stuff i'm not bothered about is mp3s, cameras, colour screens, g3 services, shit like that.

yeah personally i dont see why people need to watch movies and tv shows on a mobile phone, all i want a phone for is texts and calls, nothing else, i dont care about surfing the web on it (theres nothing on there that cant wait til i get home), etc etc etc

they should make phones that just allow texts and calls for people like me who dont care about any of the other gubbins that comes wasting away on a phone

Well i just got an ipod a while back and i have to say, i didn't expect it at all but i encoded all the robot chickens and i've been watching them on the train

So i guess i have to eat my words. I still don't like the idea of the stuff integrated into a phone much though, mainly because it saps batteries and i don't want to get mugged on a night out

I like the whole idea of one thing for calls/texts/mp3/vids/pics/games and the web. I just wish they'd get better batteries, more powerfull processors and faster connections.

T9 all the way :)

yeah, i really doubt they don't have a better power storage method than we have. I can't help but think they are sitting on some better research :)

Continuing to watch movies on my ipod :)

Yeah, they must have something better, I can't image a bunch of soldiers for example crowded round a battery charger :)

Sure they have, it'll turn your white cells red and vice versa. It's called plutonium.

A cell phone?

Plutonium ;) A cell phone'll only boil them not swap their colors  Have you ever wondered why phone gets so hot when you're on call for 1/2 an hour? Let me give you a clue - it's not because your hands are so warm. You'll hear they're harmless and 1W can't harm anybody and such sales shite form people that haven't even heard of terms like "harmonics". We're all surrounded by invisible waves, most of them of same frequencies. Sure, a 1W wave on its own is harmless, not so when they resonate!

Ok back to the topic. Just want to add that there's a language option in using the predictive text feature. Well that's my latest find. :D
