"The Three Burials Of Melquiades Estrada". Damn fine movie - an epic tale of humanity lost and then found again. Highly recommended!

the princess bride</i>.

Dread Pirate Roberts:

I believe you. [pause] So what happens now?

Fezzik: We face each other as God intended...sportmanlike. No
tricks, no weapons, skill against skill alone.

Dread Pirate Roberts:

You mean, you'll put down your rock and I'll put down
my sword and we'll try and kill each other like
civilized people?

Fezzik: I could kill you now.

Dread Pirate Roberts:

Frankly, I think the odds are slightly in your favor
at hand fighting.

Fezzik: It's not my fault being the biggest and the
strongest. I don't even exercise.

 great stuff. great stuff.

fezzik is andre the giant; dread pirate roberts is cary elwes.

got modem sorted today so i have loads of tv and stuff to catch up on, while it was broken i started watching season 1 of land of the giants and voyage to the bottom of the sea

on a bond note i do find it amusing he is meant to be englands finest superspy yet in reality only 1 englishman has played him before daniel craig, connery=scottish, lazenby=australian, dalton=welsh, brosnan=irish, moore was probably only cast to keep the english end up

Your forget Bob Hollnes of :) the first bond (on radio) and loads of people in the original Casino Royal David Niven, Peter Seller etc, which has a huge amount of anti bond sentiment in from Ian Flemming as he didn't like the other films.

not sure if I mentioned this already, but watched v2 of ducktales</i> dvds. I'm a few eps into gummi bears</i> v1. I watched another ep or 2 last night. also saw latest ep of veronica mars</i>; I think that was supposed to be the midpoint "break" in the show, which sucks. smallville is in reruns, now vm. I think heroes is supposed to go that route soon (if not already - last week resolved a major arc). college football season is over. I don't like the nba. hockey, I only watch the rangers. nfl sucks cuz my team was eliminated months ago. all the hbo shows are on hiatus until january. there's nothing to fecking watch all at once. wtf! :(

you could always watch the start of season 6 of scrubs....

did u say gummi bears is out on dvd? awesome have to check my nzb sites

i think your right about heroes, altho i hope it is just on hiatus and just hasn't ended really awkwardly

it's so ace tho, it's one of the few shows i actually look forward to the next episode these days.

watched lastest 2 torchwoods the other night, what did amuse me was in Countrycide was when owen has gwen up again a tree and starts talking about making her cum and cum, suprised they got away with it, and in the later ep there was lots of lezzing up with daniella denby-ashe which was ok

no, it's not ended. they got a full 22 episode "renewal" before any other shows. it's doing very well in the ratings. the only new show to do so this year. so it's far from "over." just the standard horseshit that networks do with their broadcasting schedules to maximize audience, milk 35 weeks out of 22 eps, give the actors/writers a break for family/holidays/movie projects.

Took some kids to see it-- female was really hot, once  yeah, it was hell man but I lived to tell the tale :) Do wish more people actually had a mind of their own and not fall so easily for stupid commercials. I'd understand if kids wanted to see this flick but no- they wanted to see "Slither" instead, I kid you not  Then again, if she did have a mind of her own, would she make it on my MILF short list? Did have a loooong "glimpse" of some nice hooters on roller blades selling candy though-- It's nice kids are so small :googley: I guess that's my reward for being such a gentleman :/

I thought the last 2 harry potter</i> movies were ok. a lot better than the first 2.

anyway...watched latest BSG. it was good. not really good or great like the show has often produced. I guess I was just bummed by the main arc between starbuck and apollo. the "rift" wasn't all that intriguing and the episode's "resolution" felt mailed-in or trite. Adama saved the ep.

myk was reviewing the 4th. the first two were chris columbus jobs. very paint by the numbers. the 3rd was unequivocally good. the 4th wasn't as good, but it did include slightly more mature themes. basically, 4th was plot plot plot but not as much thought as the 3rd. they both make the first two look like what they are though, little kiddy holiday movies.

each movie gets consecutively better in that respect cuz the "annoying little kids factor" goes down each year as the cast (and characters portrayed) get older. I figure he ought to be high schoolish for the next movie (this summer). that's usually when things can get interesting to me - basically adult issues with the whole trying to maintain the carefree childhood life type of thing.

volume 1 of gummi bears and darkwing duck aren't released on FH still. I can autoGK them if you can't get them elsewhere. I don't have a template for 4:3 series with the grown-up apps though. :wacky:

i already have DW from newgroups, same with talespin, i haven't really seen any gummi bears floating around ngs yet

DW & Talespin were in avi format and later dvdr format, in all honesty there wasn't much difference between the dvdrips (avi) to the HQ tv caps i got recently before,, haven't checked out the dvdr's yet
