Is this a "sci-fi only" last movie you saw thread, because last movie I saw was "Miami Vice" and I felt like I was brain-washed afterward. 2 hours of 50 frackin' commercials per second! You might want to stear way clear from this one :matrix:

I'm outside US and I tell you - there's nothing here except for battlestar lethargica ;) Joke, it's not that bad. Although my country's movie industry is practically non-existent and small as it is has little interest in sci-fi, there's actually plenty of nice sci-fi movies just across our borders (and a little further away :) However, it's really difficult to find any good English subtitles for them so I guess there's little chance you'll get to see them and that's a real shame :( Will keep you updated if I do find anything... as for today - IT'S BSG DAY! Last movie I saw? A docu actually - "Exploring Space - Quest For Life (PBS)" EPs 1-3 in 720p. Nice visuals, some great NASA shots, CGIs a bit on the lame side and educational value of grand 0.

Myk, most of us here are outside the US, granted a lot of us here outside US are infact in the uk, so we get a few decent brit movies once in a while.

just watched some more classic never mind the buzzcocks, love that show

What part did you like the most the "super kid" that loius has when he knocks her up in superman 2, just before he wipes her memory or the fact in the entire 2+ hrs 300mil film he dosn't punch ANYthing, or the "evil plan" to make a new island drowing 1/2 the world. or the.... oh I can't summon the energy.

On a plus note i did like the way the did live action frames of the first 4 covers of action comics to contain superman. That was way cool. They should have used them as poster art.

I'd go with the part where it wasn't complete and utter crap that succeeded in its moment but fails the test of time completely cuz it's quite possibly the gayest four superhero movies on the planet wherein every character is walking & talking (and sometimes flying) memento of 70s & 80s cheese. I'd rather watch g. i. joe eps, which is great for an 80s cartoon, but a real condemnation of the superman movies. and I'm kind of annoyed that christopher reeves, who was a good guy and a decent actor, is now immortalized basically cuz he fell off a horse. isn't that the claim to fame of some dead english king?

watched BSG. liked BSG. it was BSG. 'nuff said.

well the net seems to be having some sort of stable moment (touchwood.... not a sequel to torchwood lol)

watched last mondays heroes (as thats how quick my up and down net conn would allow me to dl it) got latest smallville and last sundays drawn together to watch aswell.

watched.....*mumbles* teen witch *mumble*... i was bored i had no working net connection, it was pretty shit really, the best part was the one or 2 decent songs in the soundtrack, the rest was just boredom

also dug out (no pun intended) my old cd of The Dig, and got round to finally completing it after god knows how many years, it was fun, but the key puzzle on the control console right near the beginning.... there's just no hints towards it at all

Torchwood EP5 - did enjoy it, then again two IMHO serious points to it:
1. It wasn't a Sci-Fi episode at all, more like some "Supernatural" episode and
2. I wish that lead actor John Barrowman (Captain Jack Harkness) would get that constant smirk off of his face. For God's sake, it was a part where people die, get shot at and are hunted for dinner and all he has to show for is maxpayne's avatar like facial expressions when he finds out a friend/co-worker of his got shot? Doesn't he know he's acting for our enjoyment and not his? Or does he like being in front of a camera so much he can't hide it? That's one seriously bad acting for a lead role! :matrix:

casion royale</i> was quite good. there was one part where it lags a lot having to do with a "love interest," but that was necessary to the plot. my complaint is simply that it's too much or maybe too mushy for too long. anyway, it was great fun. there's this one line were M is trying to chastize Bond for racking up a body count of peripheral "victims," and she says something like, "you don't show any remorse for the lives you ruin, do you?" and daniel craig looks her straight in the eyes and gives her this matter of fact deadpan "no." I thought it was hysterical, but I was the only one laughing.

latest eps of heroes</i> and veronica mars</i>. heroes</i> was good. I'm really looking forward to each new ep.

Well, if you have ever read the original books james bond is a VERY diffrent char, one they have been saying they are trying to get back to in this new flick (I have notseen it yet)

In the books he is a acholholic ruthless murderer. Driven to drink by the terrible things he dose. Hating himself, and thus taking his hate out on others, like women and the people he kills. It is in fact a VERY dark charicter.
