A Scanner Darkly Synopsis:
Set in a future world where America has lost the war on drugs, undercover cop Fred (Reeves) is one of many agents hooked on the popular drug Substance D, which causes its users to develop split personalities. Fred, for instance, is also Bob, a notorious drug dealer. Along with his superior officers, Fred sets up an elaborate scheme to catch Bob and tear down his operation. Based on the Philip K. Dick novel.

amusing how robert downey jr is involved in a movie about drugs isnt it :lol:

and woody harrelson, winona ryder, robert downey jr, keanu reeves???? <insert> you've got a great sense of humour... "should be good" hehe thats a good one, keanu reeves perfectly suited career - the 2 bill & ted films, anything else was lost on him

I always liked Phillip K. Dick's writtings and even the hollywood films made of his stuff have still been worth watching I thought **touch wood**

....plus I liked the way Richard Linklater did Waking Life

shit cast line up true, but at least they will get painted over. :P

yup, but Keanu Reaves uses 5-year quick drying Ronseal... the paint won't come close to covering him.... :wink:

animation looks annoying. I would rather they did't distort "real" images. I'm sure it's all for some psychological effect, but all it does is distract me from getting into the movie.

then again, didn't care for waking life either. plot looks interesting enough though. 8)

That looks freakn awesome!!! Can not wait..... could it be that a K.Dick story is finly failthly converted into film with out completly changing it or fuckn it up??
