Finally saw wallace and gromit and the curse of the wererabit and boy does it so deserve the best animation award.

Heabily stylised movie, with horror references from here to the moon... voice work is far better than corpse bride, the story is better and its just a far better film in pretty much everyway

Recommended if you like animated movies, and even if you don't.

The visuals are grand (:wacky:), and the humour is aimed at the adults rather than the kids like all the best childrens\family films are

it was a holiday week in the US. martin luther king day or presidents' day/week. one or both. I don't remember. so they prolly scheduled not to air new material when nobody (in the states) would be watching.

caught up on 24 (except for tonight's ep)

two brothers (2004). the movie about the two tigers. pretty standard fair. same guy who directed The Bear (1988). was kinda surprised to find out some of the non-animal stuff he's done though: Enemy at the Gates and Name of the Rose.

watched the battle on the plains of elenor(?)...the battle for minus tirith in LotR. I like it. best part of the movie. rah rah war. honor and glory stuff. excepting the green swarm...but that didn't bother me either. just not what I liked.

just watched (my own rip of) Runaway Train (1985)

was pretty good actually, reminded me a lot in style to The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974) which is a good thing because that is a really well written well paced well acted film

i suggest everyone seeks out runaway train and the taking of pelham one two three and enjoys 2 decent movies

The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974) is a great movie.. I think it had some inspiration on Reservoir Dogs as in 123 all the crooks call themselves Mr Blue, White, Pink etc etc etc.

picked-up watching van helsing</i> after first 10-15 minutes. it's not as bad as my initial reaction. I mean, a lot of the broad strokes of the plot aren't a problem for me. but the details are either completely lacking, glossed horribly, etc. etc. I guess the mythology itself isn't so bad as I remembered it...is what I'm getting at.

also watch Les Miserables (1998) in HD. strangely, it didn't have 5.1 audio cuz the thx never kicked-in. showtime, eh? claire danes is cute.

lessee...keira knightly, kate beckinsale, jessica alba, claire danes, naomi watts. wait, why am I listing these beauties again? aw hell. nevermind.

i dont know who naomi watts is but the rest i will agree with (although while pretty i never saw the mass appeal of kiera knightley), now christina applegate MIAOW, last time i met her she was all like "enter me big boy"
