yes the movie is what its based on, it was cancelled after 9 eps but on its original run only 4 were shown, and tbh it had a better premise then a lot of todays crap, and of course it had the movie to base itself around

http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0118492/

Timecop follows the adventures of Jack Logan, a time traveler with the TEC (Time Enforcement Commission) from 2007, who hunts down rogue travelers and brings them to justice before they can alter the past. The show is based on the film "Timecop" (1994) starring Jean-Claude Van Damme!

Hoodwinked</i>. LOVED it. great stuff! it's a lot more transparent than shrek</i> so it's not as universal (the kids in the theater lost interest quickly and were pissing me off with their chatter). and I'd say about 1/3-to-1/2 of the gags are kind of mailed in (they were ok, but I had the sense that would they have given it more thought, they could have done stuff more unique). even so, laughed out loud numerous times. most of the pop-culture stuff is references to other movies. and of course there's the obligatory matrix fight sequence. the actual mystery is well conceived (it's not something from left field like sherlock holmes), but you see it coming pretty early on too. but mostly, it just says fuck you to everyone. and it's the only I can think of that I like anne hathaway in.

hey spud dawg, gots a question: why is ED2 listed under the New Movie Ed2k section of the header-type-thing? the thread looks ancient. just cycling in a reshare?

bsg tonight!

I only add stuff that i have verified, its by no means the 'newest' stuff on the network and most certainly not on the site. I generally try and make sure its the best rip. If you want only the brand new stuff, its the forums you need to monitor:
http://forum.dead-donkey.com/viewforum.php?f=5

It normally reverts back to a one man adding show regarding the mainpage, although other members have access to grab topics from the forums, not many seems to use the mainpage. It however assures that people who just come here for the links can take out the links without having to go through the forums.

Another advantage i've noticed is that it seems people simply aren't aware whats in the forum database, a lot of the topics i add seem to get bumped with thank you's and questions, so i guess it works.

A lot of the links aren't new releases, i try and add a bit of buffer time, particularly on group rips.

got BSG off of newsgroups... how l33t am i? :wacky:

I tried to watch munich a few days back, boy was i not impressed. It was all standard been there don that cliché... the whole montage of news reports just made me unimpressed, and the flashbacks just seemed tedious... I got to the bit where they are doing the second assasination and got bored/tired. I'll have another go at finishing it if i ever get in the mood.

Did watch some futurama series 1, I was always a bit put off by futurama series 1... maybe because i'd seen it so many times but rewatching i was being way too harsh. Its got some damn fine writing, it ain't as good as later series but not watching it for a long time helped me appreciate how good it is.

caught up with bsg and smallville. bsg was good, but I coulda sworn they've pulled that story telling technique not too long ago. it's beginning to feel gimmicky.

smallville wasn't half bad. I expected the worse from max's post. but it was a much better ep than the previous week (which was a season low - so I'm not saying this is a season high or anything). lots of broad strokes as per usual on the series. and the girl I didn't recognize from any comics and she was really really cardboardy in the cut-out sorta way. still...happy it's moving back up the quality scale again.

maybe the rest of ducktale s1 v1 tonight.

Walking Tall is a cool movie I thought. I liked the fist fighting in it.. (no crap kick boxing shite!!! finnaly a movie with a old fashioned Indiana Jones / James Bond fist fight!!!)

The funny thing is that that movie is based on a real story. I can not remeber his name so I can not post a link but have look him up for wierder than fiction true story. For example, you know how in the movie he carried that big piece of wood around to bash people with.. Well that is all true!!

I do not know, from what I read ages ago on the web it didn't seam that far gone... I mean he was in the army, he did come home to find a casino instead of a lumber mill, he did get cheated and then cut up, he did become sherif after smashing up the casino when he got better, and he did carry that bit of wood and he did eventually close the casino and the lumber yard did reopen.
