This show could have some potential. I quite liked it at the start but it didn't match up to Dwalf..

No1 mentions this show without mentioning about how crap it is next to Dwarf. From the description is sounds more like Hitchhiker's type humour than dwarf though.

oki so its that bad.... first of all i was thinking this was a continue of from where red dwarf left.... but i guess i am wrong..... anyway if someone else is wanting to keep up dating this post, with new episodes they are welcome.... i for sure will not.......

What day is this show released Aired in the UK? Seams that there should be a new ep out, ep 3 but can not find it....


I think ep 2 was a lot better than the first one..... I think this show will be quite cool... given a chance to warm up.

I think people have misjudged this series, any resemblance to Red Dwarf is superficial. Red Dwarf is about taking the absurdity of much SciFi up a notch or two and turning it into comedy, its episodes tend to get judged on how well they do that. Many people cite Back to Reality as the best episode, even though it's not particulary strong as a comedy.

If you judge Hyperdrive on that basis it will come-off worse because that's not what it's trying to do. The Scifi setting of Hyperdrive is really no more significant than the historical settings of Blackadder; it's as much a satire about modern Britain as anything else.
