if someone is artisticly capable enough of putting a space helmet on the new logo, i think that would be cool for this subsites logo

here? always I think... i remember turning them off ages ago on dead-donkey (only by removing them from the template for a while) but they were restored ages ago.
Maybe its in one of the themes where they are commented out? Its not disabled, its just not parsed into the template

strange. I thought solaris and whatisreal were both goverened by pixels (not percent), and whatisreal is def. more constricted (good for lower res.).
then again...I thought default was galaxian. so push.

@dink, i think he means its the layered background, its too much for a crappy old box. Solaris only has one layer.
