Does anybody know this movie?

I am looking for a movie about men and women who are hiding in a asteroid. they are fighting against bugs with some kind of remote
( some kind of chair ) They log in and a robot gets drop on the bug planet. the robot fights against the bugs and gets destroyed. every time they get a bit closer tot master bug. they send a signal through space to control these robots. they also have to be careful because every now and then a bug ship petrols the asteroid field. they also receive a strange code hidden in the signal.
Can anyone tell me what the name of this movie is? i rented about 8 years ago

Hey is that an animated film or live? Becaue it sounds like an episode of Rough Necks. The Starship Troopers animated Tv show. If ya have anymore info let me know? Do you remeber who was in it or where it was made?

it was not animated.
each team was made out of a man and a woman.
no big star names (as far a can recall)
the robots they controlled where black with a point head and one arm was weapon ( i think i saw this in a game once)
When the robots got drop on a bug planet, they run through caves destroying every bug until they got destroyed by the overwellming bugs
the chairs they sat in looked somewhat like in the lawnmowerman.
