most recent BG. they're advertising for a season finale next week (this week now). I know this year's 22 ep season is broken into two parts, but have we really hit 11 eps already? :?

it could be viewed as "how come they made 19 episodes of stargate and no episodes of farscape"... because these people aren't human... its the only explaination.

especially uk terrestrial, the dumping ground of utter shite

Here I don't quite agree with you at all, Maximillion. You have to think of scale, the scale of American tv, the sheer number of channels huge, yet we had 4 until recently, five now. Yet how many shows come over here from the states if its so great? Exactly, amertican tv is fucking awful barring one or two exceptions which air intermittently, and the big shows. Have you been over to the states and watched tv? Its awful. Luckily for them they have loads of channels so that increases the chances that something watchable will be on yet in terms of quality, its pathetic... much worse than BBC and Channel 4.

So, especially is completely the wrong word to use. uk terrestrial tv is crap, but its not as crap as tv in most countries, infact its far better.

Sure there's crap count down shows, and pointless reality shows, but there's also the best documentries and series you'll find in any country, and given it comes from such a small amount of channels it in fact says something for the quality. BBC has its reputation for a reason, channel 4 even has quite a reputation, although admitedly its faulting as of late.

ITV and five are wank, always have been unwatchable... however, I think your giving uk tv far little credit.

That is unless you meant compared to uk digital, but then you wouldn't have said uk at all if you meant that of course.

i dont watch anything on tv at all these days, i jsut dl what i want to watch or get the dvds, channel 4 did used to have a reputation, now its reputation has changed to the likes of pointless reality shows sprinkled with endless episodes and omnibus episodes of hollyoaks

the bbc used to be good too, now its utter tosh aswell, albeit they do show better stuff then the other channels, but the days of truely good tv making are long gone for the most part. yes u get the ocassionalreally good show but mostly its all just cobbled together bollocks in either reality, soap or sport form, or quiz format with the same old faces appearing in each

although i think the low point of uk tv was deifnately a couple years back when there was a celebrity "reality" show on channel 5 (suprise suprise) that consisted of Z list celebs going to hong kong or some other craphole to get a celebrity enema or something similar

I saw Final Fantasy VII, well sort of... I fell asleep. But I was told I was not missing anything.

This is episode 10 on friday, it resumes in january with episode 11 because its america; everyone goes to sleep and needs constant recaps and specials until they pick it up later. For no definable reason of course.

Yeah i heard FF VII sucks, then again, its pretty faithful to the game then

lol, well i'd agree but everyone gets offended when i challenge their opinion (mainly because of a lack of a counter arguement methinks).

As far as FF goes, whilst i'm sure a south park style 'manga' storyline is enjoyable to lot of, "wannabe japs", its rather thrivelous and doesn't spark my imagination nor create any appeal for the game, which means whiist playing the game, its only the gameplay that makes the game what it is, and the gameplay is adequated and stale in my view. I've never really enjoyed games of that kind. As far as the series goes, the one on the snes i thought was the best, number 5.

I don't like FF...that's not true. I just never got into it and don't give a shit about it. but it's an incredibly popular game, so it's hard to imagine it actually sucking. then again, nintendo sells a lot of pokemon games.

lol, well no really, to be fair on FF, it isolated all but a hardcore gaming community that feircely support its style of gaming. However for the same reasons, the highly specialised/mature franchise has alienated everyone else, a much larger audience. These attempts at making movies are doomed to failure largely because the stuff they've based it on doesn't appeal to many people (probably why the first film is nothing like the games). There's an interesting article emoboy posted and it kind of makes sense (second post down, fairly long read)
http://forum.dead-donkey.com/viewtopic. ... 4&start=40
Or at least i thought it did, ohgod seems to disagree with it.

Watched american dad and family guy too... obviously american dad isn't as good but patrick stewart is hilarious in it  Simpsons sucks pretty heavily now.

Since i last posted, i've continued watching x files up to near the end of series 4 atm, theres a lot of good episodes and some that aren't as good. That was its main problem that resulted in decling viewing figures, a lot of series 3 was the worst so far. But there's some great episodes, i know i sound like a broken record but they all have morgan and wong involved, the Mom episode was great.

I also watched series 1 of Lost. it was a lot better and a lot weirder than i expected. I just don't think its as clever as it could be, its a tad too cliche and its too.. well i guess if it fixed all its faults it wouldn't appeal to a wide audience that don't like things like originality or thinking  I enjoyed it though in the most part. I though there were supposed to be two episodes of series 2 out but i only got the one... its seems rather, erm well i don't want to spoil anything.

I don't know if i'm supposed to, but i like the locke character and hate the main doctor leader person.... am i supposed to not like the doctor? I kind of figured he's the lead character but he's a bit of a prick.

I just got fist of the unicron three pack and i don't think there's a release of the movies on emule at all, its an old bruce lee film where its supposed to have some of his best fights, although i've never seen it. Will be hard to top the tower of death scene in game of death. Got a dvd of seven cheap at last, was a bit odd not having that... expecting the HD version of evil dead 2 with the book of the dead style foam cover from the states soon, simpsons s6, phantasm sphere set, Henry - Portrait Of A Serial Killer and seed of chucky when they are released/arrive too.
