Vala!!!! (ep 9x06 spoler in post)

WHAT ARE yhey thinking guys? Vala is the most interesting character to show up in Sg1 for ages. Bringing much needed life into the show. I love Sg1, but i KNOW it.. I can quote it backwards almost.. I know Daniel, Teal'c, Carter... we all know them... But Vala was new and fresh and unpredictable.

We all want this show to go into a season 10+ yea? Well I can tell you that Vala and Lieutenant Colonel Mitchell are the best way to do that. It is hard for new viewers to get into a show where all the main characters motivations are no longer explained. Vala espeshally was like this.... not a military "replacement" but a character that can grow from a selfish rouge to a proper member of the team. New viewers could have grown into it with her. Plus give us old timers something more.

And new viewers did.... I personaly know of people that never liked the show that were hooked from the time she came on!! Plus a few older fans that have "moved on" but came back into the fold when we all thought she was going to become a regular.

BRING BACK VALA!!!

Rygel XVI joins Stargate

Image

Dominar Rygel XIV has joined the cast of Stargate, reuniting with fellow Farscape actors Ben Browder and Claudia Black in the process.

"I'm playing one of those anodyne human soldiers and the make-up is a bloody nightmare. I have to undergo six hours of prosthetics every morning and the motorised stilts are a killer."

His old ship, Moya, is currently in talks to appear as a regularly occurring corridor in Stargate: Atlantis.

i've not seen either of them in stargate, i'm not a huge fan. they both seemed like decent enough actors though, they fair well in stargate or is it just the same characters again?

I mean Crighton isn't really the same as MacGyver ( i hear he's left/done a mulder)

Sg-1 seems very flat now Sam is back although Browder has made an excellent replacement for RDA, probably an improvement

there is no improvement for RDA, without jack o'neills quips and deadpan 1liners the show is nothing, the reason rda left (so i heard anyway) he wanted to work on directing more then starring in it now, his character i believe was made cheif of thunder mountain.... erm wrong show i mean SGC, or something like that meaning he doesnt appear (maybe ocassionally in tiny cameos)

I totally agree.... I can not understand why they brung her back.... Sg1 is such a boys club.. there is only room for one woman eh.. Sam or Vala, or random alien priestess.

spudthedestroyer wrote:he was the only reason to watch the early seasons as far as i remember of them

I was like Blade Runner.... I simply didn't watch the show till about late season 5 either... (But I started at Season 1 when I started watching) And it was because I was not prepared to watch RDA, not untill I ran out of other shows.. Stagate was originaly a kind of "fall back" show for me..

But I have to say after a while RDA became the highlight of the show for me....

My most hated charicter out of the bunch is Carter hands down... I was so happy with Vala replacment and now the dull, prudeish, knowitall bitch is back :(
