I just watched "Alone in the Dark"...well I should specify- I just watched about 35 minutes of it. It was so boaring I couldn't sit through it any longer

yeah, couple of weeks, but its the coursework and a new pc that's put everything out of whack.

Big coursework deadlines, a group programming project was today and then a openGL (new to me, so its reading up on it) deadline. My new PC came, but it didn't have a case, then i had to set everything up, install, then mess around with my new pc.

Doesn't leave much time when i'm at home, and i spend all day out at uni, then most nights when i get the chance out.

Oh well, i have the new Stepford Wives on my hdd waiting re-encoding. Might watch that tonight, if i'm not out.

I watched Stepford Wives at it really isn't overly bad or anything. Its a typical Frank Oz movie to be honest, which are okay, but not great. sure is no Little Shop of Horrors or anything :wacky:

Had chance to watch The Hunt for Red October... haven't seen that in ages. Sean Connery as a russian still makes me laugh.

Oh and Sam Neill and Tim Curry in the same film, Satan and Dr Frankenfurter 8)

tim curry's best performance for me was in National Lampoons Loaded Weapon 1 when hes pretending to be a wilderness girl... "Vilderness Giyals, now what do you know about ze micwofilwm"

well i watched phantom of the opera... i didnt find out until about 1/4 of the way in that it was a god damn musical  and to top it off there wasnt even that much of jennifer ellison in the "movie" either, she was in it for the first 20 mins ish, then later near the end she was dressed in a nice corset that pushed her 2 obvious assets on show

well as the only other phantom of the opera ive seen is the old old old lon chaney horror movie which isnt a musical (1925 made) for a start its a silent film lol and the 1943 horror one and the 1962 horror one with herbert lom so i had no idea any musical versions were made movie wise, altho i did know there were musical live versions of it by andrew "im a big faggot" lloyd webber but didnt know it had been made into a musical film

Kingdom of Heaven</i>. was good. about what you'd expect from the previews, I guess. also a lot like Gladiator</i>, which I suppose isn't a ringing endorsement for this crowd. same kinda preachiness in the narrative. same sort of action sequences (popularized in Saving Private Ryan</i> afaik). I take it both aspects are a reflection of Scott's direction/world view. it was probably more like Troy</i> than Gladiator</i> plot-wise (but the way ideas were perpetuated was more like Gladiator</i>). a lot better than Troy</i>. I guess after watching Gladiator</i> and Heaven</i>, ridley scott has some sort of fetish for the perversity of siblings in power.

hmm gladiator was really pretty shit imo. Totally overrated and well below what ridley scott is capable of making.

Black hawk down is his best film for ages... I haven't seen Kingdom yet, but I was hoping it was more like that... just with swords
