I watched Sin City and thought it was really well done, original and entertaining. I'm not sure why people say its nothing special, even if you haven't seen it, I think that's the worst description of the movie, its very unique and very well made I thought, even if you don't that kind of unrealistic excessive violence that is. A big surprise for a comic book movie anyway, they normally suck.

lol, narration was just like Max Payne, which I guess was the point of Max Payne (speaking of which, i think that sin city will probably kick the Payne film project back into life, whether that's good or bad remains to be seen).

that's a fair summary. hyper-viloence wasn't off-putting so much as the narration at points. although I'm pretty sure I said something along the lines of overall, unspectacular. heh

Been down and out for a while (computer) so I watched a couple of movies i borrowed from a friend. Firstly I watched a not too shabby Bruce Willis film called the Last Boyscout. Probably one of his best actually, okay die hard, nuff said, but this one is a good enough film too.

I wacthed another Logan's Run for the first time in many, many, many years. I also think i watched something else but can't remember actually doing so. That's not a comment about it being good or bad, i just can't remember... at all. I do remember i watched all the episodes of fawlty towers as i built up some computers, and i watched most of the best episodes of series one of family guy too.

Sahara</i>
was pretty good. penolope cruz was annoying. but it was a good indiana jones knock-off. a lot like the first mummy (remake); it was fun without taking itself too seriously. much much better than national treasure</i> despite the apparent similiarity in previews.

national treasure was actually pretty funny too - sometimes even on purpose. but the jokes were cheaper and the plot was more...um...stupid.

urggh National Treasure looked pretty awful, i doubt i'm going to go out of my way to see that.

I've been kind of busy of late, but i did manage to catch one of the Young Indiana Jones movies (2 episodes made into a movie)... they're okay if your board i guess. I have 7 or 8 of them @ 20GB files on my hdd, i keep meaning to make them into DVDs but i never have time.

Now i've got a 'server' pc, i guess i can get round to doing those at last. Will certainly free up some disc space.

Knowing my luck they'll get DVD releases soon after though

ha i doubt it, they probably wont ever get released which is a shame coz i love that series, the best story is easily the phantom train of doom
