It's not going to be enforced unless people take the piss, there is already a 1gb limit on the service but people will just move somewhere else and NTL dont want that

yeah but your paying for 2meg so what do u think im gonna do.... have it constant dl and ul

please define taking the piss, i just see that as getting my moneys worth

what? the 750k and higher upgrades are mandatory, so i have to upgrade, what on earth kick in the burn means is beyong me though

it will be done automatically id you dont do it. Kick in the burn = hit the turbo/afterburner :mrgreen: Its a bit of a stictch up actually the up load is not increasing :matrix:

the ul was supposed to be increasing to 1/4 your dl speed, hmm what a suprise ntl are lying again, ive had enough if they keep up this dl limit im leaving for a new isp, altho who i dont know coz bt and aol are shit too, shame telewest isnt available where i am, from what i hear theyre the only decent broadband isp in the whole of england

Got to go with you on that one, I cant find one that uploads faster than 256 :matrix: and it'really pising me off, I was hoping I could upload at 90kb/s but no frakin way i have to stay with 30

yeah thats the hard part, finding a new isp, hopefully telewest will move over to my area aswell but im not holding out hope as theyre rivals with ntl and telewest is so called due to it being on teh west and im on teh east

incidently does anyone know if this upgrade has actually been done yet, because im not getting anymore speed, but im also not getting calls for going over a gig a day

Use your browser to log into the cable modem at 192.168.100.1, and the configuration and speed will be shown. Username and password are root and root.

Well anyway, I got my upgrade to 2meg finally. I also got my letter to stop going over the download limit. Bloody NTL hypocrits.

i got upgraded aswell.... it lasted about 24hours now i seem to downgraded to less then i was before :o
