I dont care if Lucas has high hopes, as long as I have them and keep them.
I wouldn't be surprised if episode 3 would be PG-13, which would be cool for us older people :D

So you like Carnivale but you don't like Snoopy? :wacky:

I think you're putting x-files on too high a pedestal, but I guess that's to be expected on a sci-fi board on the net.

@max
not at all like storm. iunno about you, but I have completely different expectations for movies, made-for-tv-movies, and tv series. unless a series is limited (aka: a mini-series), it would sell its soul to stay on the air and they always do. most one-shots don't have that kind of cloud hovering over them - tv or theater. thus, there's no excuse for storm; roswell's choices make some modicum of sense.

edit: although none of that explains why I own Reign in Darkness, but I would like to attempt to justify it by stating that I copied and burned before I actually watched. :matrix:

No, I don't think I did anything in the slightest did I? Its no where near my favourite series, but I can tell the difference between black and white. I just refute your arguement as far as possible since I don't think there's a shread of similarity to even deserve comparison with a teen drama, let alone a crappy one.

At least X-files had many watchable episodes, and some great ones. Just because it died on its ass doesn't mean it didn't dish out some great episodes in its erm... how many series did it have?

hehe... Roswell... classic...

ps. Rated PG-13 for extreme Teddy Bears and poor face putty :wacky:

I think you're missing the part where I said said it was a teen version of x-files. of course it's loaded with all the dawson's creek stuff. I didn't say it was the x-files. although in retrospect, thinking you'd not HATE roswell because you LIKE the x-files was a bit presumtuous.

now if no one else is gonna do it, I will...

yeah, now not only will infants enjoy it, but pre-teens can too. :wacky:

(I jest, of course. just couldn't help thinking it)

i was just randomly browsing the forum and remembered the comedy of roswell and thats when it occured to me

if you were kidnapped and tied up unable to move or kill yourself, but given the choice of watching either

A. Roswell
or
B. The O.C

which would be less painful to watch? i know id much rather die then see either but if that wasnt an option, on teh one hand you have the worst program known to man in the form of roswell... and in the other hand you have the worst show known to man in the form of beverly hills 90210: 2005 just with kids who are even more obnoxious, bratty, vain, bitchy and generally even more worthy of a napalm enema then the original lot

(im not purposely trying to ruin your weekend tv watching dinky :P )

av? Do you mean chav? But chav's have the mental age of a child! You find children sexy?

I pronounce you a paedophile.

ps. roswell is as much a teen version of xfiles as Dawson's Creek is an teen version of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, or Men in Black is a kids version of Alien ;) I still don't get how you can say "but you liked xfiles?", given the absense of absolutely any connection beyond the precense of aliens :? Then again, I didn't watch beyond series 4 or so of xfiles.

I thought it was some sleazy porno by the title, but then there was a billboard for it up with some foxy ladies on so I guessed it was one of those american dramas, I don't watch much tv, but it was on.. so gave it a test run... now I'm just trying to figure out if the woman doing the voice over is out of Sabrina the Teenage witch  Don't look at me like that, people need to know these things...

lol, anyway, speaking of tv, bought another program (bringing the grand total of programs I ever bought up to two ), tis really cool, if your one of those people that hates TV these days:

i just saw teri hatcher and the other birds and thought wahey, from a lass i know who worships these kind of programs the woman doing the voiceovers is in teh poster that is all over where theyre all stood together (she then proceeded to show me) and it didnt look like any of the sabrina the "teenage" witch to me, neither the skeletal one or the one with the bigish rack

whats this program do then? let you hook your sky box/set top box/ whatever box to your comptuer and watch tv through it or some shit?

no, although you can use the output to set captures easily. Its digiguide, you set it up, you filter everything... as you can see every horror movie I've selected and highlighted.

Its just tv schedules are terrible, and tv guides are very poor at showing whats on, always miss it.

The program does pretty much anything you'd want to do, and you can of course program around it too.

ah i see, so basically a virtual tv guide but without the annoying 5000 pages of whats currently happening in the soaps to sift through first. im guessing it lets u set alarms so u dont miss your shows?

Yes, and more.

anyway, this week I've mostly been watching, mostly, Battlestar Galactica. The new series is actually pretty good, has a babylony side of the spectrum to the Star Trek 'genital wart' style programs. Infact I thought it was really rather good, having not seen the original I started to watch the movie of that. I turned it off, total wank. :o
