Isaac Asimov FAQ
Light Years:
An animated science fiction film from France, for which Asimov took the original, poorly done translation to English, and reworked the translation into good English. He did not have any part in writing the script or story, concerning a warrior that begins an adventure into the future in a search to discover the unseen evil force that is destroying his world. Light Years was released in 1988; directed by Rene Laloux, running time 79 minutes.

Seeing only 2 of those listed it as 86, & the best 2 (TV Guide & AsimovOnline.com) both say 88, I'd say 88. I checked my VHS copy from TV, & it doesn't say in the end credits, which are VERY short. Only names I recognized from this was Christopher Plummer, John Shea, Glenn Close, Jennifer Grey, Bridget Fonda, & Paul Shaeffer (from Dave Letterman?).
