unfortunately we are at the whim of the dvd production companies... most cheap out and buy the already mastered versions from another company, this is why it takes so long for decent prints of movies to come out... they all don't want to spend the money mastering the source again.

The us and continental dvds were all Fullscreen, only the uk one seems to be WS:
