Maybe you'll find something useful. BTW I did not touch my system for this movie, I simply played it an it works ok with any player.

Played with subtitles for me also...no problems...just make sure the subtitle file and the AVI file have the exact same name.

VLC player 0.8.6d will play subtitles also Windows Media Player 9 and above.
